What is Relizen?

Relizen is a non-hormonal, all-natural product that was specifically designed to target one of the most annoying symptoms associated with menopause – hot flashes.

There were a number of studies conducted about this menopause product and all have resulted in favor of Relizen.

In one study, Relizen was found to reduce the frequency of hot flashes in 65% of participants as compared to only 38% in the placebo group. In addition, Relizon also reduces night sweats as backed by a study done in over 400 women.

Relizen – For Relief of Hot Flashes

Who is the Manufacturer of Relizen?

Relizen is a menopause supplement of JDS Therapeutics, a leading name in the development and commercialization of drugs, supplements or functional foods. Its website is jdstherapeutics.com[1].

How Does Relizen Work?

Relizen claims to provide relief from hot flashes brought by menopause. It relieves hot flashes by working centrally in the body. The active ingredient of Relizen which is the cytoplasm of a flower pollen found in Sweden contains nutrients that reduce hot flashes and night sweats.

Relizen Ingredients – Are they Safe & Effective?

Relizen’s active ingredient is harvested from a Swedish flower pollen extract[2] that has more than 180 nutrients. The pollen of this flower that grows in the cold, arid climate of Sweden has two parts: the pollen grain husk and the cytoplasm.

The former part usually causes hay fever allergies and is separated from the latter part which is the cytoplasm using a proprietary biotechnology process. The husk is discarded while the cytoplasm is processed using a specific formula and is made into Relizen.

What are the Advantages of Relizen?

  • Non-hormonal
  • No estrogenic effect
  • Endorsed by gynecologists
  • Product has an informative website
  • It helps to reduce hot flashes[3]

What are the Disadvantages of Relizen?

  • It is expensive
  • Should enroll in a membership plan to get a good price

How Should You Take Relizen?

No dosage and directions are posted on the product’s web page. However, the product’s packaging shows that each box contains 60 tablets good for a month’s supply. Thus, it can be inferred that Relizen is taken twice a day.

How long will it take to show results?

Based on a study regarding Relizen, with daily use, the product may exhibit results in 2 to 3 months. Patients are encouraged to use Relizen for a minimum of 2 months for results to show.

Relizen Interactions

There were no contraindications nor drug interactions related to Relizen stated on its website.

Who can take Relizen?

Relizen can be taken by women who are suffering from hot flashes and night sweats as a menopause symptom. Women who are undergoing menopause but who are not suffering from the above symptoms may not benefit much from this product.

Some women may be wary of using Relizen because they are allergic to pollen. However, Relizen discussed on the website that they have used a high-standard biotechnology process for making sure that only the cytoplasm of the pollen is present in the product and not the pollen husk which is the component that causes allergies.

The factory that processes Relizen is regularly checked to make sure that it’s free from allergens and is up to standards.

Relizen Review – Final Verdict

Relizen can be classified as a high-quality product because it is supported by clinical trials. It has a reputable website and is manufactured by a good business entity.

However, reviews of this product may not be fully reliable as these are posted on the company’s website. Most of its reviews are highly positive (from product’s web page) but there are some negative comments about it found in other sources.

Although it’s great that Relizen specifically targets hot flashes and night sweats[4], some women may look for a natural menopause supplements that offers more coverage.

In general, though, Relizen is a highly safe and natural supplement and women who are tired of having erratic body temperatures should definitely give it a try!

Fortunately, natural therapies for menopausal symptoms such as weight gain, hot flashes, night sweats, decreased libido, and mood swings are available. Since many women experience weight gain during menopause, many natural menopause supplements contain herbs and botanicals that support a healthy metabolism. Menopause supplements should be evaluated on proven ingredients, ability to reduce hot flashes and night sweats, ability to provide hormonal balance and boost libido and its overall value.

    Three Stars
My cousin suggested I try this product and very soon I went from having 5-6 hot flashes a day with uncontrollable sweating to none. Although it started working for me after the first few doses, within about 3 months I got some of my hot flashes back and also gained a little weight. However, Relizen has made a significant difference in my quality of life and does diminish about 30% of my hot flashes overall.
