What is Bistro MD?
The Bistro MD is a meal delivery service that provides calorie-controlled, low-fat, precooked food to dieters. The Bistro MD website is a very simple and easy-to-use site that is attractive and professional.
The site has good, basic sections that include satisfied customer testimonials, a lengthy FAQ feature, and information about the programs’ developer, Dr. Cederquist, a medical professional who, according to the site, spent ten years consulting with dieticians and top chefs[1].
In addition to these features, the site has links to extra health and fitness information, including articles on the psychology of eating (and eating problems), childhood obesity, and exercise. Another feature of the site is the free diet analysis, where the individual can enter their personal information in order to receive personal advice and tips.
Bistro MD – Product Description
The Bistro MD diet consists of a choice of four different meal plans depending on the individuals’ needs.
The customer can choose from a full week with snacks, a full week without snacks, or a ‘work’ week (5 days as opposed to 7) with or without snacks. The costs for the plans are $179.95, $159.95, $144.95 and $129.95 respectively.
Each menu consists of low-fat, high protein, high-complex-carbohydrate foods. The daily calorie intake is approximately 1200 calories, although this does not seem to allow for whether the dieter is male or female and how much weight they need to lose.
Breakfasts included in the meal plans include high protein muffins, oatmeal, and eggs, lunches consist of main soups, stir-fries, and sandwiches whilst the dinners are usually a meat entree accompanied by vegetables. Information on the website states that the diet plan is suitable for diabetics but it does not cater to the needs of any other dietary requirements, such as vegetarians or vegans.

Bistro MD Review – Final Verdict
One really good feature of this plan is that it allows the user one night (called ‘My Night’) when they are allowed to eat whatever they want. This is great for motivation as it allows the user to feel somewhat unrestricted, therefore more likely to stick to the plan.
Although the plan does include some online tools and access to dieticians for advice, there is no real community where fellow dieters can discuss issues or give support. Basically, the Bistro MD would be suited to a busy, single professional who wants to lose weight, but does not want the hassle of cooking and counting points and calories.
