Overview of Exilis

Sagging skin, wrinkles, and stubborn fat are common concerns for many as they age. These issues often lead people to seek non-invasive treatments that can tighten skin and reduce fat.

Exilis is a treatment designed to address these concerns. It claims to tighten loose skin, reduce fat, and improve skin elasticity using radiofrequency technology.

What sets Exilis apart is its dual focus on both skin tightening and fat reduction, without the need for surgery or downtime. However, results can vary, and some users report only subtle changes.

In this review, we’ll evaluate what Exilis claims to do and provide a fact-based analysis of whether it delivers on those promises.

What is Exilis?

Exilis is an advanced non-invasive treatment designed to tighten loose and sagging skin, reduce fat, and smooth wrinkles. Using radiofrequency technology, it targets various areas of the body, including the face, neck, and abdomen, to provide skin tightening and fat reduction without the need for surgery.

The treatment offers quick results with minimal downtime, making it a convenient option for many. It has gained significant popularity among dermatologists as a safer alternative to more invasive procedures like liposuction and facelifts.

Exilis is often used as part of comprehensive skin anti-aging strategies, helping to rejuvenate skin by improving elasticity and providing a firmer, more youthful appearance.

BTL’s focus on improving patient care and providing cutting-edge, non-invasive treatments has solidified its position as a trusted brand in the global market.

How Does Exilis Work?

There are two available Exilis models which are the BTL Exilis Elite and the BTL Exilis Protégé. The former is for body treatments while the latter is for facial treatments. The basic principle behind the technology is not really new and it has been used in dermatology before.

It revolves around the stimulation of certain processes within the skin through radio frequency waves. Different wave settings are used for penetrating the skin and targeting certain layers.

For skin tightening effects, Exilis is used to stimulate collagen production in the skin. The particular radio frequencies work to unravel collagen fibers making the fibroblasts produce more of the protein. This builds up the skin’s fiber network which results in the tightening of the skin after a few treatment sessions.

Exilis is used for fat reduction by delivering radiofrequency deeper into the tissues. Energy is used to destroy fat cells which will literally melt away with the treatment. The fat cells are then broken down which will be removed from the area through the natural processes of the body.

Benefits of Exilis

  • Wide Patient Range: Exilis is suitable for both men and women of all ages and skin types. There are no BMI limitations, making it an inclusive treatment option. Whether you’re dealing with skin sagging or stubborn fat, Exilis can be tailored to address your specific needs.
  • Comfort in Mind: Exilis is a non-invasive procedure, meaning it doesn’t require any incisions or surgery. This allows for a comfortable treatment experience with no recovery time. Patients can resume their daily activities immediately after the session, making it a convenient option for those with busy schedules.
  • ROI (Return on Investment): One of the key advantages of Exilis is that it doesn’t require ongoing consumables like other treatments might. This reduces long-term costs, making it an affordable, one-time investment for skin tightening and fat reduction.

Side Effects Of Exilis

Most people experience no serious side effects with Exilis. However, some might notice minor redness, swelling, or a mild warm feeling in the treated area right after the treatment.

These effects usually go away within a few hours. In rare cases, some users may have slight skin irritation or discomfort.

Following the right procedure can help reduce the risk of these effects. If you have any concerns, it’s best to talk to a professional before starting treatment.

Safety Of Exilis

Exilis is a safe, non-invasive treatment that has been clinically tested. It’s FDA-approved for tightening skin and reducing fat. The procedure carries minimal risk when performed by a trained professional.

Exilis is not recommended for pregnant women or people with medical conditions like pacemakers. If you have any health concerns, it’s important to consult a healthcare professional before getting the treatment.

What Do the Reviews Say?

I have had 5 treatments to the neck and jowls, each a week apart, and it has caused the wrinkles and jowls to become more noticeable and literally much worse. Please tell me what I should say to my Plastic Surgeon. Should I ask for part of the money back? I’m out $1200.00 and now have to dish out much more money for a neck lift because it looks horrible.

Exilis Before and After

Exilis Before and After

There are several combinations of radio frequencies and cooling technology allowing skin care professionals to offer a range of intensity options for treatment. This makes Exilis treatment highly customizable depending on the needs and wants of the patient.

Our anatomy also slightly differs so skin thickness can vary from one area of the body to another. Thus, radiofrequency energy and cooling strength require adjustment in order to achieve optimal results.

As an example, Exilis treatment for the thighs requires a stronger radio frequency in order to reach the fat deposits. In contrast, treating the face requires stronger cooling settings and weaker radio frequencies. This is due to the fact that the skin on the face is much thinner and a lot more delicate.

FAQ’s

Q: Does Exilis treatment Hurt?

A: Exilis treatments are comfortable and painless. It doesn’t involve the use of needles but some patients report a certain degree of discomfort. There are also those that feel pain during the procedure but it is only minimal. There are no topical anesthetics used because it is unnecessary.

Exilis also uses cooling technology to avoid damaging the skin’s upper layers. It also makes the treatment comfortable and relatively painless. This is how it targets the inner layers of the skin while keeping the outer layers unaffected.

Q: Where do I purchase Exilis?

A: You can get Exilis on Amazon and Walmart.

Q: Is Exilis a scam?

A: No, Exilis is not a scam. It’s a legitimate, FDA-approved treatment used by dermatologists for skin tightening and fat reduction. Results can vary depending on the individual, but it’s widely recognized in the aesthetic industry.

Q: Does Exilis Work?

A: It is important to understand that Exilis is not a miracle anti-aging device. Depending on your area, it is expensive, ranging from $1,000 to $1,500.

This anti-aging product is really effective for tightening the skin but the device doesn’t really deliver results as considerable as anti-aging procedures like a facelift.

Take note that it is also important to find a dermatologist who is knowledgeable and experienced in the procedure in order to get the most out of your money. For fat loss, it is not as effective as liposuction but many are happy with the results it can deliver.

Q: What do Exilis reviews and complaints say?

A: Exilis reviews are mixed. Many users report positive results for skin tightening and fat reduction, while others feel the effects are subtle or take time to appear. Complaints often focus on the high cost or slow visible results.

Q: Does Exilis really work?

A: Exilis can work for tightening loose skin and reducing fat, but results vary. Some users experience noticeable improvements after a few sessions, while others see more gradual effects. It’s not as dramatic as surgical options but offers a non-invasive alternative.

Q: How much does Exilis treatment cost?

A: The cost of Exilis typically averages around $1,329 per session. However, the price can range from $199 to $2,099, depending on factors such as the treatment area, provider’s experience, and location. Multiple sessions may be required for optimal results, and some providers offer discounts for purchasing a series of treatments in advance.

Q: What are the Possible Side Effects of Exilis?

A: Mixed Exilis treatment reviews can be found by the users. The skin tightening and fat removal benefits that Exilis offers do not come with many risks in terms of side effects. Patients usually do not experience irritation, bruising or redness in the area treated.

However, some patients have experienced minor skin burns and some amount of pain which is usually due to the inexperience of the doctor performing the procedure.

It is vital to use the right settings which depend on the area of treatment. Using the wrong settings is the most common cause of side effects which can include skin irritation/redness and minor skin burns.

Exilis Alternatives

Products Cost Range Key Ingredients
Hydrossential Serum $69.00 Japanese Witch Hazel, Jojoba Oil, Camelia Sinensis, Aloe Barbadensis, Gotu Kola, Camellia Sinensis, Rosmarinic Acid and more
Miami MD $49 Acetyl Hexapeptide, Jojoba Seed Oil, Saw Palmetto, Chondrus Crispus
Musely $82 Water, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Sodium Coco-Sulfate, Sodium Chloride, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium, Cocoyl Glutamate, Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic Acid, etc.
WOWMD Anti-Aging Collection

Conclusion

All in all, Exilis is a good treatment option if you want tighter skin and reduced skin aging signs. The treatment can deliver considerable results within a few sessions.

It is also a good way to get rid of excess fat in certain parts of the body. However, it is still not as effective as liposuction since it can’t get rid of a lot of fat in just one session.

The main problem is the price that many people are unable to afford or are unwilling to pay. Fortunately, there are more affordable anti-aging and fat loss options available like the use of anti-aging creams and fat loss supplements.

Subtle results, but patience is key.
I’ve been using Exilis for a few weeks now. I’ve noticed some tightening around my jawline and neck, but the results are subtle. It’s not a quick fix, and it takes time to see improvement. Overall, it seems to help, but I’m not sure it’s a miracle solution.

My exilis experience was not good at all.
My skin is not tighter but more worn looking. I paid 1500 for 4 facial and neck treatments, each week apart. The technician would always assure me to wait until next week to see the results…Now, after six weeks, and no results.

Fraxil was more immediate and yielded a positive impact. Sadly when I asked for this procedure from this Med Spa, I was told it was an inferior treatment. My direct experience differs. I only tried this method because I was assured that it was the ‘latest and greatest’

  • Q: What are the results of Exilis before and after thigh treatment?

A: Exilis treatments on the thighs aim to reduce fat and tighten skin. Many users report a smoother, firmer appearance, but the results can take several weeks to become visible. It is a gradual process and results may vary based on skin type and treatment area.

  • Q: How much discomfort should I expect from Exilis?

A: Exilis is generally considered a comfortable treatment, with most users reporting mild warmth or tingling during the procedure. There’s usually no significant pain, though some may experience slight discomfort depending on the intensity of the settings used. The discomfort is temporary and goes away after treatment.

  • Q: Can I tolerate Exilis treatment if I have a low pain tolerance?

A: Yes, Exilis is non-invasive and typically causes minimal discomfort. It’s a popular choice for individuals with low pain tolerance since it uses cooling technology to keep the outer layers of skin comfortable while targeting deeper layers for skin tightening and fat reduction.

  • Q: How do I know if Exilis will work for my skin type?

A: Exilis works well for most skin types, but results can vary. It's especially effective for people with mild to moderate skin laxity or fat buildup. If you're unsure, consult with a dermatologist to determine if Exilis is suitable for your specific needs and skin condition.

  • Q: Can Exilis help tighten my skin if I have oily skin?

  • Q: Is Exilis the best treatment for sagging skin on the jawline?

A: Exilis is effective for mild to moderate sagging skin on the jawline, stimulating collagen production to tighten the skin. However, if sagging is severe, more invasive treatments like facelifts may be necessary. For subtle improvements, Exilis can offer a non-surgical solution.

  • Q: Does Exilis work for tightening loose skin around the neck?

A: Yes, Exilis is commonly used to tighten loose skin around the neck. By stimulating collagen and improving skin elasticity, it can reduce the appearance of sagging and wrinkles. Results may vary, and multiple sessions are often needed to see significant improvements.

  • Q: What parts of my body are best treated with Exilis?

A: Exilis is effective for treating areas with loose skin and fat, such as the face, neck, abdomen, thighs, and arms. It works well for skin tightening and fat reduction in areas prone to sagging, offering non-invasive treatment for various body parts.

  • Q: Should I wait between Exilis treatments and other skin procedures?

A: It’s recommended to wait at least a few days between Exilis treatments and other skin procedures, especially if they involve more intensive treatments like laser or chemical peels. Always consult with a professional to ensure proper recovery time between treatments for the best results.
