Dexatrim Overview

Anyone familiar with diets and weight loss pills will probably have heard of Dexatrim.

The product, which some call a ‘veteran’ of the industry, has been around for over 25 years, although its formula has changed over the years.

Dexatrim was one of the products that were part of the whole Ephedrine scare and along with other products containing the dangerous ingredient, was recalled and subsequently banned.

Working Process and the Ingredients

Dexatrim Max daytime appetite control contains a proprietary blend which includes Green tea – Study claims that it works for weight maintanance[2], Oolong tea[3] , Ginseng[4] , Chromium, Vitamins B6 and 12[5], Niacin and Riboflavin.

The recommended dosage is 2 capsules per day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

The Dexatrim label warns that users may experience temporary side effects such as the upset stomach, due to the high vitamin content, though this may be lessened by taking the pill with meals.

Most of the ingredients are designed to increase energy and boost metabolism while the chromium is especially good at regulating blood sugar levels and thus curbing sugar cravings.

When the product contained ephedrine, there was a danger of increases in strokes, Harvard Health publishing study reports, the reason why it was banned, but even now the product label has warnings about the dangers of overuse.

For a product that bills itself as something to suppress the appetite, it is strange that it doesn’t contain Hoodia Gordonii, as none of the actual ingredients are especially good for this purpose.

Dexatrim Review – Final Verdict

It is a shame that Dexatrim will likely forever be linked with Ephedrine as the new formula is all-natural and safe to take if the manufacturer’s guidelines are followed.

There is no doubt that this type of product should be used as part of a complete exercise and diet regime as there are no ingredients that have produced strong results, such as Hoodia.

This would be the perfect product for anyone wanting to give their metabolism a little boost and curb cravings and between-meal snacking without having to spend a fortune.

You can take review of other avilable alternatives such as BioLeptin and Acxion.

    I would buy this item
I used this in the past during the course of my medication prescribed by my psychiatrist and I found this more useful than psychiatric drugs. The reason why I say this is because if I took this drug as taking psychiatric drugs, my appetite would increase even more! I would rather not take drugs prescribed by a psychiatrist and would rather take this appetite controlling drug! It’s a lot better for my health as Psych drugs make you eat more and seem less active.
  2. Catherine A

    It is not useful
I came to use Dexatrim with the hope it would help with my overweight, which was a massive problem for my health being. To my disappointment, it is not useful to me at all. Over the period I have been using it, I experienced unpleasant side effects, which included stomach upset, diarrhea, and vomiting. I did stop taking it for a while then I thought maybe it was early signs that the supplement was working on me. But once again, the sides effects seemed to increase, and now I can’t use Dexatrim ever again, and I have thrown them in the dustbin.
  3. Jeremy H

Stopped because of my blood sugar
I purchased Bioleptin because I was looking for a supplement that could help me lose weight and control my blood glucose, but I have unfortunately had to discontinue using it.in the beginning, it seemed promising enough, but I noticed I was feeling lightheaded and dizzy after using it. After testing my glucose I found that my values were pretty low, even though I had asked my doctor if it was safe before I started. I have since given it to my sister and she is using it without a problem thus far. I wish I had the chance to use it longer because it seems a fair choice.
  4. Lena P

A little weak in my opinion
I have heard about Dexatrim for years before I finally decided to purchase it, but after trying it out I am not very impressed by what it does. It seems weak compared to many other weight loss supplements, which may or may not be what you are looking for. I was definitely looking for something stronger since my body is very resistant to losing weight and seems to need the extra calorie burn to do so. I might revisit it after I lose about 20 pounds but right now it just doesn’t fit my needs. I will complete what I have left since I did pay money for it.
  5. Kristina Shelton

    Don’t try it
While taking this product, my blood pressure increased so I had to discontinue it. I would definitely not recommend it. This product may work for you, but you must be aware that there can be possible side effects with it.
