How Does It Work?

Ted’s Pain Cream has potent analgesic properties which block nerve signals related to pain. It’s also high in anti-inflammatory agents which can decrease inflammation and discomfort in the nerves, joints, muscles, tendons, and skin.

There are bioactive substances like sulfur which can repair damage to muscles and joints, and possibly rebuild damaged tissue. Antioxidants destroy free radicals, resulting in lower levels of oxidative stress. This also promotes repair and healing and boosts immunity.

A review in Cochrane Library discussed the role of antioxidants in lessening muscle pain after exercise [1].

It may also heal the skin barrier, and protect from UV rays. Ted’s Pain Cream is also hydrating to the skin, moisturizing and eliminating dryness. An article in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology discussed moisturizers and their potential to decrease dry skin [2].

The cream has antimicrobial benefits, which could kill bacteria and possibly prevent infection. In addition, it cools and sooths the skin.

Ted’s Pain Cream Ingredients – Are they Safe & Effective?

These are some of the primary active ingredients:

Arnica Montana

This is a plant with potent anti-inflammatory agents, and it may effectively decrease pain and inflammation in the muscles and joints as well as ease stiffness and help heal bruising.

A review in the American Journal of Therapeutics found that arnica may be a valid alterative to NSAIDs for certain conditions [3].

Arnica also has antioxidants like polyphenols which can help repair damage and promote healing. A study in BMC Chemistry showed the antioxidant and cytoprotective effects of arnica [4].

Methyl Salicylate

This is menthol, in high concentration, which has pain-reducing benefits and may also cool and numb the area.

A study published in Rehabilitation Research and Practice concluded that menthol lowered pain and associated symptoms in workers with carpel tunnel syndrome [5].

It’s high in anti-inflammatory agents which decrease swelling, and anti-microbial agents which could kill bacteria and prevent infection. Menthol has high antioxidant potential, and could repair damage and strengthen the immune system.

Resveratrol

This is a compound high in polyphenols, which usually comes from grapes. There’s evidence that it may help decrease neuropathic pain by blocking key pain receptors.

A study in the Journal of Medicinal Food found that resveratrol with meloxicam decreased pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis patients [6]. An article in Biomedicines said that while resveratrol has potent health benefits, it has poor bioavailability [7].

MSM

MSM, or Methylsulfonylmethane, is a naturally occurring compound found in plants, animals, and humans. It’s commonly used as a dietary supplement to support joint health and alleviate symptoms associated with conditions like osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

As highlighted in our comprehensive Flexafen Reviews, MSM is known for its potent anti-inflammatory properties. It works by reducing levels of inflammatory compounds in the body, such as interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-alpha, which can contribute to joint pain and swelling. By modulating the body’s inflammatory response, MSM helps to alleviate discomfort and improve joint function.

Boswellia Serrata

Boswellia Serrata Extract, also known as Indian frankincense, has been used for centuries in traditional Ayurvedic medicine for its potent anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties, particularly in the treatment of joint-related conditions.

As discussed in our comprehensive Tart Cherry + Collagen Review, Boswellia Serrata Extract contains active compounds called boswellic acids, which have been shown to inhibit the production of pro-inflammatory enzymes, such as 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) and matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). By reducing inflammation and preventing the breakdown of joint cartilage, Boswellia Serrata Extract can help alleviate joint pain, stiffness, and swelling associated with conditions like osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Ted’s Pain Cream Reviews from Customers

The Ted’s Pain Cream reviews were moderately good but varied in their opinions of the product. Some users got great relief for nerve, muscle, and joint pain.

However, there were also customers who said the benefits were weak. Here are some of the user comments, to give you an idea of the feedback on this product.

It Was More Effective Than Years Of Painful Myofascial Therapy

This product does what it says it does. Have had chronic sciatic nerve pain in my left leg for many years. As advertised, this product applied to the lower back eliminating all of the sharp pain in a couple of days.

It was more effective than years of painful myofascial therapy, special exercises, and strong prescription narcotics.~Robert E. R.

Advertising is Deceiving

First, ordered this with the premise that this product was excellent for pain. “It is not” you would get the same relief with a baby aspirin. It smells terrible.

Embarrassing to go out in public with that smell, it’s like you have been hit by a pine tree. Would not recommend this product to anyone. ~Angel

Same As Any Other

Bought for arthritis…not impressed. Same as any pain rub…not much improvement.~ Amazon Customer

Worth It!

Excellent for my chronic foot pain. Gave it to a colleague with sciatica and he reported IMMEDIATE relief. ~ J. Cagle

Conclusion

Ted’s Pain Cream is an organic topical analgesic cream that promises to lessen pain and inflammation in the joints, nerves, muscles, and tendons. It includes quality ingredients, but they could have added other pain relief substances. It’s costly for the market.

The reviews for Ted’s Pain Cream varied, but some of them were quite positive. Some customers said it worked very well to ease their symptoms, even nerve damage. However, others reported very little in the way of results. Some users said the smell was pleasant, but others really disliked it.

Ted’s Pain Cream contains 100% organic ingredients, and there are no chemical or synthetic additives. However, there’s a chance that side effects could occur. If you have uncomfortable symptoms, stop using this product. There are some contraindications, so you must get approval from a doctor before using this cream.

Bones are connected by joints, which allow us to move with ease. Joint damage can cause pain preventing you from doing the things you once loved. Topical joint relief products tend to work more quickly, helping to relieve pain directly in the affected area compared to products taken orally. A topical joint pain relief product should be evaluated on its: potential to block the transportation of pain signals, potential to act as a counterirritant to reduce soreness and Quality of Ingredients* backed by clinical research.

Below you'll find some of the most effective topical joint pain products on the market today, in our opinion.

    Not Worth The Money!!
For my carpal tunnel, I paid for a Ted’s Pain Cream with Resveratrol product that was supposed to be superior to the typical store-bought topical pain reliever, but it wasn’t worth the money.
