What is Activene?

The promised benefits of Activene Arnica Gel Cream included easing pain and inflammation in swollen joints, muscles, and backs, killing harmful bacteria, and healing small bruises and sprains. It may also provide hydrating and repair benefits to the skin, and boost blood flow.

The product has an average price for the market at the moment on sale, but there are certainly other ingredients they could also have added. Some customer reviews said it was effective, while other users got less benefit.

How Does It Work?

The cream has healing properties, through its anti-inflammatory properties which may decrease swelling and redness on the skin, heal skin issues, and ease pain and swelling in the muscles and joints.

A review published in Mediators of Inflammation examined the possible effect of anti-inflammatory cytokines in the development of osteoarthritis [1].

It also contains an organic sulfur which is essential in the building and maintenance of strong joints and cartilage, slowing damage progression, and possibly rebuilding some of the damaged tissue.

A review in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery examined the use of sulfur in arthritis treatment, and found some support [2].

Activene has powerful antioxidant potential which abolishes some of the damaging free radicals, resulting in lower levels of oxidative stress.

This promotes repair and healing to the body and skin barrier and strengthens immunity. Activene has antimicrobial properties which could kill bacteria and germs, helping to prevent infection.

Activene Arnica Gel Cream Supplement Facts
Activene Arnica Gel Cream Supplement Facts

These are some of the key ingredients in Activene:

Menthol

Menthol is a terpene alcohol from the peppermint plant. When applied topically, it has a cooling, soothing sensation on the skin which may bring relief from inflammation. An article in Phytochemistry discussed the biological properties of menthol [4].

It’s also an analgesic which decreases pain by desensitizing the nerve receptors. It has potent antioxidant benefits which may repair and heal damage to the skin barrier, and it also improves vasodilation and circulation.

A study on rate in Pharmaceutics demonstrated the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and wound-healing potential of menthol [5].

MSM

This is Methylsulfonylmethane, which is a compound existing naturally in humans, plants, and animals. It’s high in sulfur, which plays a role in joint and cartilage development and maintenance. As highlighted in our JointReflex article, MSM may slow down cartilage breakdown and contribute to the repair of damaged tissue.

A 12-week pilot clinical trial in Osteoarthritis and Cartilage on men and women with knee osteoarthritis concluded that MSM twice daily led to a general improvement in physical function and a decrease in pain [6].

MSM may lower pain and inflammation in the body, including the muscles and joints. It could also lessen stiffness and improve flexibility and mobility.

Tea Tree Oil

Derived from the leaves of the Australian tea tree, this oil has antibacterial and anti-fungal benefits when included in topical products. It may kill microbes on the skin and help to prevent infections.

Tea tree oil is also highly anti-inflammatory, decreases pain and swelling, and has potent antioxidants which could heal and repair skin damage. A research summary in WCET Journal discussed the effectiveness of tee tree oil in chronic wound healing [7].

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: How Do You Apply It?

A: The product is suitable for adults, or children who are 12 and older. Take some of the cream and massage it into the area you want to treat until it’s absorbed, up to 4 times per day.

Do not use Activene Cream on open wounds or damaged skin. Wash your hands carefully with soap and water after each application.

Q: What is the Return Policy?

A: The manufacturer is offering a 100% unconditional money back guarantee. If you’re not happy with the cream, contact customer service for instructions as to how to receive your refund.

Q: Is It Worth It?

A: At the sale price it’s more worth it than at regular cost. Activene provides soothing and healing benefits to some users, and not to others. You may find it effective, but there are also other options which may be more potent.

Q: Where to Buy It?

A: You can purchase Activene Cream from the official website, and you can also get it from a number of other online retailers and stores including Amazon and Walmart. The manufacturer is offering free shipping for orders over $50. The cream is on sale now for $14.97, down from the regular retail cost of $24.97.

Q: What Sets It Apart From the Competition?

A: Activene is not overly unique when it comes to the competition. The formula is normally a bit costly, but now on sale it falls into the average price range. It contains potent organics, but there are other products with more active ingredients on the market.

Activene Reviews from Customers

The reviews for Activene offered a range of opinions. There were quite a few customers who said it eased joint and muscle pain as well as small aches and sprains, however, some users got less benefit in these areas.

The product seems to be less effective overall for nerve issues. Here are a few of the customer comments about the cream:

Instantaneous Cooling

As the primary massage therapist for a men’s Semi Pro Football team, needed something that was still going to help them function while they healed.

The cooling effect of this cream is almost instantaneous, bringing down their inflammation. The lasting effect per application was about 4.5 hours with one client. Will be purchasing more in the near future. Thanks. – Cindy

Not Effective

Can’t say that it absolutely doesn’t work, been using this for a week or two or three now and have felt zero benefits.

Only guess is that it’s not the kind of pain this product is intended to work on. For this reason, giving the benefit of the doubt and going with 2 stars instead of 1. – Jonathan

It Eases the Pain

Have post herpetic neuralgia, and it helps a little with the burning, achy sensation. Have tried just about everything out there, no magic cure, especially with nerve pain. – GF

The customer reviews for Activene Cream offered different opinions. Many customers liked the cream and found it provided them with healing and soothing benefits. Others said it had little effect on their particular issue. Some liked the scent, while others thought it was too overpowering.

Activene Arnica Gel Cream contains primarily organic ingredients, but it does have artificial color. If you experience a skin reaction to the product, you should stop using it immediately. You may want to check with a dermatologist first before trying a new skin cream.
There are many supplements in the same joint pain category as Blue Stop Max that can perform a similar function and may be a better fit for you, so you should be cautious before making a purchase.

Bones are connected by joints, which allow us to move with ease. Joint damage can cause pain preventing you from doing the things you once loved. Topical joint relief products tend to work more quickly, helping to relieve pain directly in the affected area compared to products taken orally. A topical joint pain relief product should be evaluated on its: potential to block the transportation of pain signals, potential to act as a counterirritant to reduce soreness and Quality of Ingredients* backed by clinical research.

    It eases the pain
I have post-herpetic neuralgia, which somewhat relieves the aching, burning sensation. I’ve pretty much tried everything, but there isn’t a miracle solution, particularly for nerve discomfort.
