How Does Holigos IBS Work?

Those who suffer from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) may have uncontrollable abdominal pain and diarrhea because they have an unfavorable balance of bacteria in the gut.

Holigos IBS claims to have Human-Natural Oligosaccharides (HNOs) that selectively feed on the good bacteria to possibly allow them to grow, flourish, and limit the impact of the bad bacteria and IBS symptoms.

This product may also strengthen the intestinal barrier to keep out bad bacteria, allergens, and toxins, so that the good bacteria in the digestive system then strengthens the walls of the intestines.

Finally, this product may then balance the user’s immune system, as an unbalanced immune system may cause IBS symptoms.

This product contains traces of milk (lactose) and a proprietary Human-Natural Oligosaccharide Blend, which contains the following:

  • Fucosyllactose – One of the most abundant oligosaccharides in human milk, it may promote bifidobacterial growth and inhibit pathogenic microbial binding in the gut[1].

This manufacturer makes many claims that Holigos IBS may help with symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome, including possibly reducing constipation, diarrhea and bloating. The company also claims this product may lessen stomach pain associated with IBS and give the user more energy and a better mood overall.

It is said that the benefits are gained using a three-step process: improving the user’s microbiome, strengthening the intestinal barrier, and balancing the immune system, which could result in a healthy gut.

When should I receive my order?
I ordered this product a few days ago. Do you have a tracking number? I’ve not received anything, not even an Email. FYI I’m already all out!

Excellent results after 3 weeks of use
I was plagued with diarrhea for over two months and took prescription drugs that helped a bit but came with scary warnings of side effects. It was not unusual to make up to 10 bathroom trips a day and I was reluctant to leave home for more than an hour. My labs revealed a high lactoferrin count, indicative of inflammation of the colon. My physician recommended a low residue diet in mid-June and recommended that I use PeptoBismol to help with symptoms. I researched her preliminary diagnosis of ‘Micro colitis’ and the residue diet and in my search found an ad for Holigos Restore. I informed my physician that I wanted to add it to my diet as a supplement, and have been using it for three weeks. It is easy to take in water and I am careful not to miss a day. I attribute the disappearance of my worst symptoms to the diet and addition of Holigos and when I have finished the Restore formula, I plan to switch to the Holigos Maintain formula. I have no hesitancy in recommending this product to anyone with IBS or other forms of colon distress, and of course, you should work with your healthcare provider in adding this or any supplement. It’s a great feeling to be ‘getting my life’ back!
