Blue Lizard Supplement Facts

Blue Lizard sunscreen depends on two main active ingredients that are zinc oxide and titanium dioxide that protect you from harmful UV rays.

These ingredients are used to design the sunscreen for infants, all people, and especially for those with sensitive skin.

Zinc Oxide

– This is a natural inorganic compound. It is naturally found in zincite minerals, though most of it is synthetically produced. It plays a major role in providing safe and reliable broad-spectrum protection from ultra-violet radiations UVA and UVB. Blue Lizard Company uses a high grade of zinc oxide that is preferred to other compounds for pharmaceutical dermatology formulas.

Their zinc oxide is recognized and approved by the Food and Drugs Administration institution as a critical skin protector. It is also ideal for people with environmentally sensitive skins. [1]

Titanium Dioxide

Research show it’s a naturally occurring oxide of titanium mineral. Like zinc oxide, the mineral is very active mineral protectant and it does not penetrate into the skin but otherwise, forms a highly reflective and protective barrier on the skin epidermis. [2]

    Excellent long term protection
I have vitiligo and spend long summer hours on the golf course. I need the best Sun protection available and have tried LOTS of products. I discovered Blue lizard more than a decade ago and it has been my go-to since. BL provides superior sun protection and moisturizing. Unlike other products I have used, I have found it unnecessary to reapply during a 4.5 hour round of golf. Not greasy, unscented; Initially goes on white, so you know you’re covered. Anecdotally, it seems a small amount goes a long way; my hypothesis is that cost per day is quite reasonable. Good for outside recreation and as an everyday moisturizer and sunscreen.
