Overview

Exfoliation is about more than getting rid of dead skin cells and revealing a more luminous layer of skin. It’s about improving blood flow to the skin and aiding in skin cell turnover. In short, exfoliation can do more for the health of your skin than just making it look good.

But are you using a good exfoliator? A good exfoliator will make your skin look more youthful, make it more resilient, and will not dry out your skin. The makers of A Touch of Jazz Peppermint Coffee Scrub say their product is unique because it can do all of this and more.

It is claimed that this body scrub will make your skin’s texture more uniform and provide antioxidant support for it. A Touch of Jazz Peppermint Coffee Scrub is gaining some popularity from people who are looking for a gentle yet effective exfoliator. But is this the one? Find out in the following A Touch of Jazz Peppermint Coffee Scrub review.

Who Is the Manufacturer of A Touch of Jazz Peppermint Coffee Scrub?

The manufacturer of this product is a company called Touch of Jazz. A Touch of Jazz is a sort of lifestyle brand as they sell a number of products that range from body scrubs to jewelry. They make products for men and women.

A Touch of Jazz is known for making natural products that appeal to the senses and help people unwind and relax. However, the company does not offer much information about their history or their manufacturing practices.

How Does A Touch of Jazz Peppermint Coffee Scrub Work?

A Touch of Jazz Peppermint Coffee Scrub is supposed to work by sloughing away dirt, contaminants, and dead skin cells from the upper layer of your skin. A Touch of Jazz Peppermint Coffee Scrub was also made to work for multiple parts of the skin, like your feet, face, hands, legs, shoulders, and arms.

The main goal of this product is to produce softer, smoother, and more youthful-looking skin by gently exfoliating and lifting dead skin cells. So does A Touch of Jazz Peppermint Coffee Scrub really work to improve skin? For some, it may as this product contains tocopherol.

Tocopherol is essentially a form of vitamin E that has been proven in some studies to exert potent antioxidant effects on the skin which may slow some signs of skin aging. However, it should be noted that tocopherol isn’t universally effective and A Touch of Jazz Peppermint Coffee Scrub may not work for some users with severe skin conditions.

A Touch of Jazz Peppermint Coffee Scrub Ingredients

Now let’s see what’s actually in A Touch of Jazz Peppermint Coffee Scrub

Micro-Roasted Coffee

Coffee extract is believed to provide some UV protection for the skin which has made it a popular natural ingredient in many skincare products. Some studies show that it may reduce wrinkles caused by UVB damage. However, we are not told how pure or how concentrated the coffee extract in this product is.

Peppermint Essential Oil

Peppermint oil is known for its aromatherapeutic qualities and its unique smell. There have been some studies that also suggest that it may be useful for the treatment of pruritus – a skin condition marked by excessive itching and irritation. It remains to be seen though if peppermint oil can benefit the skin in other ways.

Brown Sugar

Brown sugar is typically used as a sweetening agent in foods. Some also believe that it can gently exfoliate the skin. There have been some claims that brown sugar works well as an exfoliant because it is not too coarse and it doesn’t go rancid. However, it may not be suitable for sensitive skin as it can cause micro-tears and encourage the growth of bacteria. This can lead to infection if it is applied to open wounds.

Sea Salt

Sea salt is also sometimes used as an exfoliating agent. The Pubmed staff has noted that, “Skin roughness and redness of the skin as a marker for inflammation were significantly reduced after bathing in the salt solution.” Still, topical application of sea salt may not produce the same results.

Tocopherol

Tocopherol is a form of vitamin E and has been acknowledged by leading health authorities as having potent antioxidant effects on the skin. However, the same health authorities acknowledge that there may be issues of tocopherol stability in many consumer products that contain it.

    Could’ve been better, honestly
Been scrubbing with this for 4 weeks and yeah, it smells like a whole spa moment, but the exfoliation is too rough and didn’t give me that soft-skin glow I expected. My legs still feel dry after rinsing, and the “energizing” effect lasted like… 5 minutes.
