About Solawave Red Light Skin Wand
The manufacturer is UVVU Inc, headquartered in Los Angeles, California. Founded in 2020, they produce ultraviolet light devices and other products.
How Does SolaWave Wand Work?
Solawave Wand both deliver light therapy microcurrents into the skin to offer a range of benefits. Red light reaches the surface levels of the skin, which can reduce inflammation and stimulate collagen production. Our other article, Nushape Lipo Wrap Reviews, has proven to provide the same benefits.
SolaWave suggests using the wand for at least five minutes and 3 to 5 times a week. Wash and dry your face then apply serum to forhead and neck, after applying serum take the wand and start center to forehead and hen down the temples.
This helps to tighten the skin, improve elasticity, and smooth wrinkles, lines, and blemishes. Blue light therapy delves deeper into the skin, helping eliminate harmful bacteria and treat acne. A review in the Annals of Family Medicine discussed the benefits of blue light therapy for acne vulgaris [1].
The SolaWave Advanced Skincare Serum includes a collection of organic ingredients which elevate the effects provided by the wands. They deeply hydrate the skin, helping to smooth and plump it, removing wrinkles and lines.
The Solawave renew complex serum also stimulates collagen production for tighter skin. An article in Plastics and Aesthetics Research discussed the importance of collagen for the skin throughout the life stages [2].
This renew complex serum includes anti-inflammatory benefits, which decrease redness and swelling. It’s also rich in antioxidants which get rid of some of the radicals in your skin, so there’s less oxidative stress. This leads to healing, and it can protect the skin from environmental threats like UV rays.
Dr. Rachel Maiman, dermatologist at Marmur Medical says “In my professional opinion, if someone elects to use an at-home microcurrent device, it should be with the idea in mind that it is best as a maintenance modality”.
SolaWave Serum Ingredients – Are they Safe & Effective?
These are some of the primary active ingredients:
Hyaluronic Acid
This substance is found naturally in the body, particularly in the skin and connective tissue. However, its amounts deplete with time. It draws a massive amount of liquid, hydrates, and plumps the skin, removing dryness, wrinkles, and fine lines.
A study in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology concludes that a serum of 5 hyaluronic acids led to great improvements in skin texture and a reduction in wrinkles and fine lines [3].
Aloe Vera
The leaf of this plant contains a rich oil that can deeply hydrate the skin, removing dryness. It’s rich in anti-inflammatory agents, decreasing redness and swelling, and helps heal acne and other skin conditions.
In addition, it includes antioxidants that help to repair and protect the complexion. An article in the Indian Journal of Dermatology reviewed the benefits of aloe vera for the skin. [4].
Blue Tansy Oil
This is a plant called Tanacetum Annuum, which grows mainly in Morocco. It’s high in anti-inflammatory benefits and can calm and soothe irritated skin. In addition, it may heal skin damage, repair wounds, and even treat burns.
Many dermatologists recommend this oil for its great ability to heal. An article in Science Direct discussed the properties and benefits of blue tansy oil [5].
German Chamomile
This herb is a potent anti-inflammatory and helpful in healing dry, cracked face. It contains the antioxidant apigenin, which can cure skin damage and protect from UV rays, besides reducing swelling.
It’s also effective in treating skin conditions like eczema. An article in Frontiers in Pharmacology discussed the mechanism of action of chamomile in healing eczema [6].
