How Does NeuroMD Corrective Therapy Device Work?

The device transmits neuromuscular electrical stimulation via a low-level current, which may repair damage to muscle and tissue as well as decrease pain and inflammation. A review in Sports Medicine discussed using neuromuscular electrical stimulation to treat sports injuries [1].

This technology could also improve muscle strength and help maintain it over time. In some cases, physicians use it to repair neural function in people with damage and restore motor function.

A study on elderly participants in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health concluded that neuromuscular electrical stimulation combined with exercise strengthened balance over the short term [2].

An article in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinics of North America discussed the possibility of using neuromuscular electrical stimulation to restore motor function in stroke rehabilitation [3].

Who Should Use This Device?

This is actually a difficult question to answer, because based on the NeuroMD Corrective Therapy Device for Back Pain reviews it works well for some customers, and is less effective for others.

Considering the research in support of neuromuscular electrical stimulation for back pain and inflammation, there are some supporting studies.

A case report in Physiotherapy Theory and Practice concluded that a combination of neuromuscular electrical stimulation and trunk muscle training reduced pain and disability in an elderly adult with chronic back pain [4].

Not every study supports the effectiveness of this technology in treating back pain. An observational study in Medicine concluded that neuromuscular electrical stimulation had little impact on chronic lower back pain [5].

The bottom line is, there is no real way to predict whether the device or the technology itself will be effective for one user or another.

Unable to Use

Unable to use the device due to my implanted spinal cord stimulator. My wife has been using it for weeks and it has definitely helped her. Disappointed because this would help me too. –Gary W.

Highly Recommended!

Have used NeuroMD for about 2 years. Mainly use it on the lower back where there are 8 collapsed discs. Highly recommend this device. It has helped tremendously, along with specific exercises given by physical therapy.

The pain is severe and chronic. It especially helps the morning back pain upon awakening. Unfortunately, just had a pacemaker implanted and can no longer use NeuroMD. –Betty C.

No Real Results

There’s some sound science behind the concept, and you can certainly feel it on your back. Haven’t used it long enough to notice any real results yet.

The results that DID occur could just as easily be chalked up to nothing more than a brief flare-up that would have run its course. –Reddit user

    NeuroMD ease back pain
I have been dealing with chronic lower back pain for over two decades. Chiropractic care has been my primary source of relief, although it provides only temporary respite. I must admit I had reservations when I decided to purchase the NeuroMD device. However, I can unequivocally attest that this device is effective! While I still need to see its long-term effects, I am optimistic and eagerly anticipate the possibility of sleeping without relying on pain medication. The only downside thus far is that I require assistance to correctly apply the device to my back.
  2. Andrea

No more back pain thanks to NeuroMD
After two weeks of using this device and following the 6 simple movements after each NeuroMD session, I was feeling relief. After another two weeks, my pain was gone. I have had this unit for two years now and any time I feel the slightest bit of back pain I start using it again and my pain goes away.

    Price integrity missing!!
I visited to this website to post a positive review because I thought the product was great. But I was angry when I noticed the new costs. I almost paid $500 for my kit! I’ll be contacting customer service right away!
