All I had to do was put the damaged device in the box and return it to the company. I called to get the RA# to return the damaged product and was told that it is their policy for the customer to pay the return shipping cost.
Told them I would not pay the shipping on their defective product and that I would return both devices and never do business with this company again. Be careful if you purchase products with lots of strings attached.

But here’s a new one for you. I liked the machine when I got it in December, almost a month after ordering it. I liked it in January until it stopped working. Even though I cleaned it exactly as the instructions and videos say. I decided to just be done with the whole thing, understanding that I would be out the price of the machine, $29.95 trial, and $72.63 x 3 installments – $247.84. Very costly mistake but sometimes things happen.
I called the company and said that I just wanted to pay off the balance of the machine and cancel my makeup auto-delivery. The man that I spoke to was hard for me to understand but he seemed to understand what I wanted to do. He chose to cancel the auto-delivery first. He could have done either request first but he chose to cancel the makeup auto-delivery first.
Guess what that does? It obligates you to pay the full price of the machine. Know how much that is? Of course, you don’t, it’s no where to be found on the website, that I can see. The man told me I would be charged $148.54, he neglected to tell me that there would be two charges of that amount. Why two? Because I had two remaining installments of $72.63 left. So now my costly mistake has cost me $400. ($148.54 + $148.54 + $72.63 + $29.95).
I have since gone back and re-read the terms and it does say, buried way down in there, that canceling the makeup auto-delivery changes the cost of the machine. I missed it and that isn’t like me. But I still would never have expected this thing, that stopped working after one month, to cost $400.
And here I thought I was doing the right thing in paying up for my mistake. Instead, the company took advantage of me. The customer rep could easily have paid off the machine and then canceled the auto-delivery. Or at least said something. What a scam!
Please think twice about trying this system. Absolutely read the fine print and then read it again. If this company truly believed in customer service, they would take all of these negative reviews into consideration and make it so much easier to see exactly what you are getting into and how much it will cost. They wouldn’t hide behind their ‘the customer didn’t read the fine print’ claims. I agree that we, as customers, need to be responsible for reading terms. But it doesn’t need to be as hard as Luminess is making it.
