Overview

Tinnitus is a condition marked by constant or near-constant ringing in the ears. The sounds the people hear vary widely – some experience a constant ring while others may have more of a “whooshing” sound in their ears. In any case, tinnitus is very disruptive and can affect other areas of your health.

The makers of Audizen, the product we will be covering today, say that their supplement can help with tinnitus. Audizen may work by addressing certain auditory imbalances in the ear and affecting blood flow which may be a factor in tinnitus. It may also work by addressing inflammation in the ear.

In any case, it’s important to remember that Audizen is just a dietary supplement and should not be taken for a cure or even treatment for tinnitus. It may work for some and not others. So will Audizen work for you? We help you figure it out in the following Audizen review.

What Is Audizen?

Audizen is a supplement that is concerned with improving the overall health and function of the user’s ears. While there are peripheral claims made about helping to improve moisture (this is a perplexing claim since moisture may not even benefit ear health) it is formulated mainly to help with tinnitus.

Consumers should be aware that Audizen is a supplement that comes in liquid form which may make it a bit less convenient than a tinnitus supplement that comes in capsule form. The liquid formulation, on the other hand, may help the ingredients take effect quicker than usual.

The makers of Audizen also claim that the product will support general ear health, soothe ear irritation, stymie inflammation that may be the root cause of hearing issues, and of course, help reduce the ringing caused by tinnitus. That’s how most people use the product, in fact.

Who Is the Manufacturer of Audizen?

The company that makes Audizen may be called Ideal Performance. At least, that is the brand that one retail listing for Audizen credits the supplement to. Other sites where Audizen is sold offer no information about the manufacturer.

In any case, the company that makes Audizen has been accused of scamming certain customers. These claims are vague but should still be noted by anyone interested in using Audizen.

How Does Audizen Work?

First and foremost, Audizen is supposed to work as a tinnitus-relief supplement. This means that it is at least intended to work by improving blood flow to the ear and reducing the level of ringing in the ear caused by tinnitus. We are also told that Audizen will work to reduce overall ear irritation.

As a tinnitus-relief supplement, Audizen may work by reducing the inflammation that can cause tinnitus. According to leading medical authorities, inflammation in the auditory pathways and closer to the ear can cause tinnitus which usually manifests itself as a persistent ringing, din, or rushing sound in the ear.

Some of the ingredients in the Audizen formula may have anti-inflammatory effects so this claim may be validated by such ingredients. However, it should be noted that inflammation is not the only cause of tinnitus so users should not expect a universal solution from Audizen.

Audizen Ingredients – Are they Safe & Effective?

In the following section we will evaluate the active ingredients in the Audizen formula:

Hawthorn Berry

Hawthorn berry is supposedly rich in antioxidants that may benefit hearing and general ear health. However, the claims that it can help with tinnitus seem unfounded. For instance, the Tinnitus UK website posted the following statement regarding hawthorn supplementation:

There is no evidence available regarding this treatment for tinnitus. We would suggest you talk to your GP before taking any new medication or supplement.

Magnesium

Magnesium is a mineral that is essential for many bodily functions and chemical reactions. It may also have a moderately beneficial effect on hearing – especially for people who have suffered some form of noise-induced hearing loss. But modern studies have only acknowledged that magnesium is only “partly effective” for these applications.

Garlic Extract

Garlic extract has been purported to help with noise-induced hearing loss. It has been suggested that garlic, along with other vitamins, may help with the physiological recovery of hearing loss. However, not all the test data supports this idea and even the positive data was not consistent.

Ginkgo Biloba

Ginkgo biloba is a herb that is rich in antioxidants. The antioxidant property of this herb has aroused some interest in it as a potential adjunct treatment for tinnitus. The evidence does not support this application though. The National Institutes of Health were very plain in their evaluation of ginkgo as a tinnitus treatment:

Their conclusion was that Ginkgo biloba does not benefit patients with tinnitus.

Green Tea Extract

Green tea extract is well-known for containing potent antioxidants called catechins. Chief among these catechins is EGCG which has been suggested to improve cochlear function. There is also evidence to suggest that long-term green tea extract supplementation may protect the ears from noise-induced hearing loss.

How to Use Audizen?

Audizen comes in liquid form and should only be used as a dietary supplement. It would be best to ask your healthcare practitioner or ear specialist about how to take Audizen effectively.

Benefits of Audizen

  • Tinnitus Relief – The main claim regarding this supplement is that it will reduce the ringing or unwanted noise in your ear caused by tinnitus. Audizen may only have a moderate effect on tinnitus though.
  • Antioxidant Support – The ginkgo biloba and green tea extract content in the Audizen formula may provide the ear with adequate antioxidant support and may reduce inflammation in auditory pathways in the brain.
  • Moisturization – One of the claims related to Audizen is that it will moisturize and protect the ear. However, it is unclear how such an effect would benefit ear function or serve to stymie the effects of tinnitus.

Side Effects

There have not been any complaints about side effects from Audizen users. However, that does not mean that side effects are impossible. In fact, ginkgo biloba may cause common side effects like headaches.

Safety

The Audizen formula consists of natural ingredients which may make it safe for most users. Consumers should still consult with a trusted healthcare physician to make sure it will be safe for them.

How Much Does Audizen Cost?

The price for Audizen will vary as it is sold on multiple websites. The official website for Audizen has a pair of bottles on sale for $158 with a $9.99 charge for shipping and handling.

What Do the Audizen Reviews Say?

The Audizen reviews have been mostly negative so far. Take a look at what we mean:

When it’s advertised it says to put drops under your tongue. Yet package instructions state to put directly in ear. So is it internally or externally ingested. Plus it smells terrible so I would not ingest anyway. – Joanne

It did not work for me, a waste of time and money – Doug

Audizen Review – Conclusion

So does Audizen help with tinnitus? Maybe. It may provide moderate relief for people with subtle cases of tinnitus. Can it work for everyone? Clearly not as there have been some Audizen reviews that say quite plainly that the product doesn’t work as advertised.

However, Audizen may provide decent antioxidant protection for your ears and may reduce the likelihood of noise-induced hearing loss.

It is still entirely possible though that there are more effective tinnitus supplements out there so we encourage our readers to seek them out and compare them to what they have learned about Audizen in this review.

    Didn’t calm the ringing much
I’ve been using Audizen for seven weeks to help with my nonstop ear ringing. Before taking it, nights were tough because the buzzing kept me awake. After starting it, the sound maybe softened a little, but not enough to feel real relief. I’m still waiting for that quiet moment everyone talks about.
