Overview

The health of your prostate is directly linked to your general health as a man. That’s because prostate issues are known to also cause urinary problems and if left unchecked, they could advance to much more serious health conditions. Prostate issues can even affect your sexual functions!

So what can you do to protect your prostate health? Some supplements may be able to support normal prostate function and help you avoid annoying urinary issues. One such supplement is called Prostazinc. Prostazinc was formulated to support both long and short-term prostate function and to alleviate BPH symptoms.

Some consumers like Prostazinc because it has an all-natural formula and because some of the ingredients have been closely linked to healthy prostate cells. But who would benefit from Prostazinc? Will Prostazinc really help reduce BPH symptoms? We answer these and other important questions in the following Prostazinc review.

What Is Prostazinc?

Prostazinc is a dietary supplement that comes in capsule form. The makers of Prostazinc say that the capsule form is preferable to other supplement forms (tablets, liquids, powders etc.) because they are more convenient and because they contain exact dosages of the ingredients.

There are 60 capsules per container which amounts to about a 30-day supply when taken as directed by the manufacturer. The claims associated with Prostazinc are that it will support prostate health, reduce frequent urges to urinate, and promote healthy urinary function.

So is Prostazinc a popular supplement? Only moderately but it has been building more popularity among men who are looking for natural and proactive solutions to prostate issues. Prostazinc may be helpful for preventing BPH as well which is another way that some men use it.

Who is the Manufacturer of Prostazinc?

The company that makes Prostazinc is called Sunshine Naturals. Sunshine Naturals states on their official website that all of their supplements are made in the United States and that they have been manufacturing supplements for over 30 years.

The company also mentions that they use the “highest-quaity ingredients” for their formulas and that they are known for innovative supplements. Their distribution center is in Miami, Florida.

How Does Prostazinc Work?

One of the main claims concerning the formula of Prostazinc is that it contains an ingredient called Beta Sitosterol. So what makes beta sitosterol worth noting? First of all, bet sitosterol is a natural compound produced in plants. It is categorized as a phytosterol. It’s important because some researchers believe that it can alleviate urinary issues related to prostate swelling.

In fact, in a study conducted by the National Institutes of Health, beta sitosterol displayed the ability to reduce International Prostate Symptom Scores, which indicates the severity of prostate issues, for some test subjects. The news on beta sitosterol isn’t all good however.

It should also be noted that there was another high-quality study that revealed that, “B?sitosterols did not significantly reduce prostate size compared to placebo.” So while this supplement may work to alleviate moderate urinary issues, it may not be able to solve the issue of prostate swelling.

Key Ingredients in Prostazinc

In this section, we take a look at what scientific studies have shown us about the Prostazinc ingredients:

Pumpkin Seed

Pumpkin seed is a natural ingredient rich in phytosterols and anti-inflammatory agents that could help prevent prostate swelling. There have also been some reports that pumpkin seed lowers International Prostate Symptom Scores (IPSS) for some patients:

Overall, in men with BPH, 12 months of treatment with pumpkin seed led to a clinically relevant reduction in IPSS compared with placebo.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is a natural antioxidant which is why some researchers believe that it can help reduce the risk of serious prostate issues. It may help keep beneficial prostate cells healthy but so far, there is no concrete evidence to suggest that vitamin E can prevent or reduce the severity of prostate issues.

Zinc

Zinc is an essential mineral that is found in the prostate which has led some to believe that it is important for normal prostate function. Some studies have revealed a link between low zinc levels and increased prevalence of BPH symptoms. This link is still indirect and more solid connections have not been made in clinical studies.

Lycopene

Lycopene is a kind of antioxidant and pigment that is found naturally in fruits like tomatoes. In a study conducted on lab rats, it was found that lycopene can reverse a depletion of nitrite and nitrate in the urine, suggesting that it may alleviate urinary issues caused by BPH. This data comes from an animal study though so it remains to be seen if the same effects can be expected in humans.

Beta Sitosterol

Beta sitosterol is a plant polyphenol that has been promoted as a potent natural solution for prostate issues. And while some studies suggest it can help reduce frequent urination issues, it has also been found that it doesn’t do much for shrinking an enlarged prostate.

How to Use Prostazinc?

The instructions as provided by Sunshine Naturals are to take 2 capsules a day. You may also want to ask your healthcare practitioner about specific dosage instructions if you are considering using Prostazinc.

Benefits of Prostazinc

  • Urinary Support – Ingredients like beta sitosterol may help alleviate urinary issues like having to relieve your bladder multiple times at night (nocturia) that are typical of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
  • Healthy Prostate Support – The makers of Prostazinc also claim that their supplement will help maintain normal prostate function. However, this may not extend to conditions of swollen or enlarged prostate.
  • Quality of Life – If Prostazinc can work to diminish the user’s need for frequent urination, it may also improve their quality of life by letting them sleep more and freeing up more of their time.

Side Effects of Prostazinc

Though there has been some negative feedback from people who have bought and used Prostazinc, they don’t mention anything about side effects. Still, we know that ingredients like vitamin E have been linked to increased risk of serious prostate issues so you should definitely talk to your physician about Prostazinc before using it.

Safety

We are told by the makers of Prostazinc that the supplement is produced in the United States but they don’t mention anything about manufacturing safety certificates or any other kind of regulatory certification. You should also be extra-cautious with Prostazinc if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.

How Much Does Prostazinc Cost?

A single bottle of Prostazinc (60 capsules) will cost $31.99 on the official Sunshine Naturals website. A 3-pack on the Wal-Mart website is currently $31.44 so the prices will change depending on where you buy it.

What Do the Prostazinc Reviews Say?

Some Prostazinc reviews mention shipping issues while others praise the product’s effects:

I’ve been using Saw Palmetto for several years, but it has become less effective. After a little bit of research I found this product, though I’d give it a try and it works. Make my trips to the restroom less frequent and my stream is stronger and my bladder empties more completely. I highly recommend it!

It says it has been delivered but I still did not receive my package otherwise I would put the picture but they didn’t take one because they didn’t leave it here thank you. – Anthony
