Perricone MD Firming Neck Therapy Overview

Most skincare regimens only target signs of skin aging on the face, particularly on the area around the eyes. However, your neck is a dead giveaway of your real age. The skin on the neck is very prone to sagging and wrinkles and usually begins to develop aging signs before the face does.

Just look at women who have undergone facelifts and it is very likely that their neck area makes their real age obvious. The area composed of the neck and upper torso including the upper chest and shoulders is called the décolleté.

This is surely one of the most under-appreciated features when it comes to a youthful appearance. You may not be aware but a specific category of anti-aging products is designed for the skin in this area.

You just need to thoroughly research to discover which products are really effective and which ones aren’t. To help you choose a product, we will be reviewing the best firming cream for neck to determine if it is worth purchasing or not.

How Does Perricone MD Firming Neck Therapy Work?

According to the numerous customer feedback and client testimonials, it really works in reducing aging signs on the neck area. However, it only works on wrinkles and fine lines and doesn’t have considerable effects on deep creases and necklines.

Perricone MD Firming Neck Therapy is a targeted treatment designed to tighten the neck area. This is the most effective neck cream because it makes the skin in the area firmer, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and creases.

It uses specially formulated phospholipids and tocotrienols to address aging signs on the décolleté area. It also tones and tightens the skin while at the same time forming a barrier to increase the skin’s elasticity and thickness.

Perricone MD Firming Neck Therapy Ingredients – Are they Safe & Effective?

One of the primary active ingredients of Perricone MD Firming Neck Therapy is palmitoylcamosine which is a special peptide that improves the elasticity of the skin to reduce fine lines, creases and wrinkles.

It is clinically proven to be effective in reducing such aging signs in the neck area. The Perricone MD Firming Neck Therapy also contains specially formulated phospholipids which mimic those that are naturally found in the skin.

These phospholipids help hydrate the skin and repair cellular damage to make it more youthful in appearance.

The formulation also contains tocotrienols which are one of the most potent forms of vitamin E. It is about 40 to 50 times more powerful compared to regular vitamin E.

This powerful antioxidant protects the skin from free radical and environmental damage. It also offers healing and nourishing benefits for irritated or dry skin.

    Taurine

    – an amino acid in use in skin care products, particularly anti-aging lines, where it is said to help calm the skin and has an exfoliating effect that helps diminish fine lines and wrinkles when combined with glycolic acid. [1]

    Isopropyl Palmitate

    – Isopropyl palmitate is used in products as a thickening agent to make them feel soft and to boost their moisturising effect. [2]

    Cetearyl Alcohol

    – Cetearyl alcohol moisturises and softens the skin by locking moisture into the skin as well as providing hydration.

    Phosphatidylcholine

    – Phospholipids act as a skin barrier while also hydrating and assisting the skin’s reparative functions. [3]

    Ceteareth-20

    – Ceteareth-20 is a skincare and cosmetic ingredient that improves product texture and stability. Ceteareth is a synthetic compound used in formulations as an emulsifier and surfactant.

    Glyceryl Stearate

    – Glyceryl stearate is primarily used to improve skincare product formulation. It thickens, improves the colour and transparency of products, makes them more light resistant, and stabilises the overall formulation. [4]

    PEG-100 Stearate

    – PEG-100 Stearate is a cosmetic and skin care ingredient that is used to control the texture and flow of the formulations.

Other Ingredients include Water, Palmitoyl Carnosine, Pyridoxamine Dihydrochloride, Dimethicone, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Resveratrol, Disodium EDTA, Pantethine, Elaeis Guineensis (Palm) Oil, Tocotrienols, Sorbic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopherol, Astaxanthin, Fragrance

Q: What are the Customer saying about this brand?

A: There is also some customer feedback saying it doesn’t have fast or considerable results and it is nothing more than a potent moisturizing agent. Since there are no details on the consumer study stated on the Perricone MD website, it cannot be considered proof that the neck restoration product really works.

Perricone MD Firming Neck Therapy Reviews – Final Verdict

Overall, Perricone MD Firming Neck Therapy is an above-average neck restoration cream. Many users say it really works but only for wrinkles and fine lines on the neck area.

The formulation is impressive but most of the ingredients are chemicals any of which can irritate the skin of sensitive individuals. This is still a product worth trying but there are more effective and safer options available.

According to the product’s website, a consumer study result indicated that after 4 weeks of using Perricone MD Firming Neck Therapy, 97% of participants showed an improved skin texture (softer and smoother). Also, 77% of participants reported an improvement in the elasticity of the skin.

The problem is that no further details are provided in the study. It is uncertain whether the study was conducted by an independent laboratory or by the company behind the product. The results may be biased and it may even be fabricated.

Many people neglect their neck and chest in their daily skin care regimen. The neck ages just as quickly as the face and overtime loses elasticity resulting in what is commonly referred to as “turkey neck”. Prior to purchasing a neck cream make sure it has been rigorously tested in clinical trials. A neck cream should effectively firm and lift sagging skin, improve overall tone and texture and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

I haven't noticed any improvement with Perricone MD Firming Neck Therapy
Perricone MD Firming Neck Therapy has a lovely texture, but it does nothing to improve the creepiness of my neck skin. I’ve been using this product for about 3 months and haven’t noticed any improvement. I like other Perricone products, but the poor results of this one do not justify the high price.
