How Does SkinCeuticals Gentle Cleanser Work?

Dull complexions occur for various reasons, such as dry air, lipid depletion, harsh soaps, overuse of exfoliating products, and in-office procedures. Dry skin, which is more susceptible to a dull complexion, has special cleansing needs. For that reason, SkinCeuticals formulated this mild face cleanser, which is designed specifically for dry, sensitive, and post-procedure skin. This non-foaming cleanser removes makeup and debris while hydrating the skin, leaving it feeling soft and moisturized.

SkinCeuticals Gentle Cleanser Ingredients – Are they Safe & Effective?

Orange oil

– This is categorized under citrus essential oils. These oils are important in perfume, food and beverage industries, aromatherapy, and medicine. According to the International Journal of Molecular Science, orange oil was found to be effective in the treatment of acne. It also inhibits the growth of bacteria.

Conditioners

– This ingredient is usually added to cleansers to hydrate and soften skin. Conditioners used in this formula are claimed to be basic and non-irritant. In the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology, conditioning cleansers were tested on how effective they delivered water to the stratum corneum and their effect on dry skin.[1]

Emollients

– These are natural components that give the skin a calming effect. Emollients, also known as fatty alcohols together with humectants help counter irritancy or drying potential of surfactants as per the Indian Journal of Dermatology. Emollients also help reduce the severity of damage caused by UV exposure.[2]

Glycolic Acid

– This is one of the alpha hydroxy acids which are usually used as superficial peeling agents in improving the appearance of keratosis and acne. According to the Molecules journal , glycolic acid has anti-inflammatory and photoprotective effects against UVB radiation.[3]

Allantoin

– This ingredient is derived from urea and it works to get rid of excess keratinized epidermis as per the Pediatria i Medycyna Rodzinna journal. Allantoin has strong moisturizing properties and is not allergenic thus used in products dedicated for dry skin as well as acne or allergy-prone skin. It also helps skin retain more water and rebuild the protective hydro-lipid layer.[4]

SkinCeuticals Gentle Cleanser – Final Verdict

SkinCeuticals Gentle Cleanser is a mild cream cleanser that is claimed to be suitable for dry, normal, oily, combination, and sensitive skin. It has been designed to cater to conditions of the skin such as aging, dehydration, blotchiness, discoloration, and sensitivity. This facial cleanser has also been claimed to be ideal for post-office treatments such as chemical peels, non-ablative laser, intense pulse light, injectables, microdermabrasion, and microneedling.

This gentle cleanser works to rid the skin off makeup, impurities, and other surface debris. While most cleansers are notorious for stripping the skin off its natural moisture and oils, this cleanser is said to restore the skin’s hydration and oils thus preventing skin dryness. Additionally, this cleanser claims to leave the skin feeling soft, moisturized, and clean from impurities.

With all these claims, it is only fair to establish if they are true or not based on the ingredients. As we have seen, all the active ingredients used to formulate this product have scientific proof to support their effectiveness. And if science backs it, then the product may be worth the attention. As for reviews, users were quite intrigued by the product, giving it a 4.4-star rating. These reviewers affirmed that the cleanser worked without causing irritation, even for users with sensitive skin. Users loved the citrus fragrance and the overall effectiveness of the product.

Nonetheless, one user pointed out that it would be better for them if the cream was a bit thick and not too gentle. The dispenser may also be great with a tweak.
On this, the brand has provided further instruction on how to use the dispenser, which is to twist the cap and see if it will unlock the cleanser. So apart from those few shortcomings, this cleanser could be a great product for everyday use.

Now that you know what a priority it should be to use a good facial cleanser, hopefully you'll make sure it's part of your regimen. A good face cleanser can keep your face clear of dirt and impurities, and over the long run it can give you younger looking skin.

    Worth the money
I was searching for a good anti-wrinkle cream for a long time and I found Skinceuticals Gentle Cleanser product ad on my Facebook. I searched about the product in detail and found that it matches with my requirements. I decided to give it a try though it was a bit pricey for me. It has been 1 month I used this product and I can definitely tell the difference in my skin. I am very much happy with the incredible results.

    The all-natural anti-aging product
We must admit that having youthful skin is something that many of us desire. Unfortunately, there aren’t many products out there that can help us achieve the look we want without causing damage to our skin. I am a beauty enthusiast because I believe that we should look our best regardless of our age. I have used dozens of products that kept my skin youthful but they had adverse side effects. I later discovered that it was because these products are made using synthetic ingredients that have detrimental effects on the skin. Lately, I found out about this amazing product known as Skinceuticals Gentle Cleanser. Skinceuticals Gentle Cleanser uses the stem cells of a Swiss apple as part of its formula. I have been using it for six months now and so far, I love the results. It has zero side effects and I’ll be using Skinceuticals Gentle Cleanser until I am 90 or 100!

Nothing like it on the market
I have purchased all kinds of anti-aging serums and creams and masks but I have never come across an anti-aging product quite like Skinceuticals Gentle Cleanser. It uses stem cells from a rare breed of apple. When I first read about Skinceuticals Gentle Cleanser I wanted to try it immediately because I have never seen a product with this range of unique ingredients. The formula seemed to be one of a kind so I gave it a shot. Skinceuticals Gentle Cleanser is by far the best anti-aging cream that I have ever used. It made my face look and feel younger. I know it works because I am not the only one who noticed that my skin looked better. My daughter was the first to take notice but I have received compliments from a lot of people.

I don’t know if it is the apple stem cells that make it so effective but it helped a lot with my wrinkles and fine lines. It was like the clock had been turned back 5 years! The wrinkles I had around my eyes are less defined and the creases around my cheeks appear to have vanished altogether. The subtle things that only I would notice on my face like faint creases have vanished and the more noticeable blemishes like sun spots and crow’s feet have certainly become less evident. It works on a variety of different facial imperfections so it has become my go-to facial serum. Take it from me, someone who has tried a lot of different kinds, Skinceuticals Gentle Cleanser is the best.

Gentle cleanser that left my skin feeling very clean
I love this cleanser. I have combination skin and I am so glad that I bought it. I’ve been using this for a few months now and I absolutely love it! This cleanser is so gentle while helping to clear my skin. Definitely buying again.

    Awesome product nice and brightening!
First off the smell is fantastic. I’ve been sick and sleep-deprived so when this showed up it was perfect timing. I like the look it gives and the feel of it after applying it. I definitely noticed my skin looked brighter than before.
