Overview

When it comes to skincare and makeup products, women trust experts and famous people. If the brand is highly recommended by someone they look up to, then you can expect sales and demand to climb quickly. One such influential figure is Oprah. People are naturally curious about what she uses and recommends. When she mentions a product, many tend to follow her lead, as seen with the case of Airbrush Eye Cream.

So, what exactly is Airbrush? It’s a refining eye cream that may help reduce puffiness in as little as seven minutes. This makes it ideal for women who want a quick fix and don’t have time to layer on makeup or concealer. Airbrush may also smooth and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles that come with aging.

However, with so many claims and a wide range of user experiences, it’s important to critically assess whether this product lives up to its promises. We will delve into the specifics of this product to offer a fair evaluation based on its ingredients, benefits, and customer feedback.

TL;DR: What to Know About Airbrush Eye Cream

  • Airbrush Eye Cream aims to deliver a smoother, well-rested look by combining emu oil, collagen, and antioxidants that support skin barrier repair and hydration over time.
  • The formula’s lightweight consistency makes it suitable for layering under makeup, providing a refreshed base without leaving residue or shine.
  • User experiences are varied, with some noticing quick puffiness reduction and a cooling feel, while others report minimal long-term improvement in fine lines or dark circles.

What Is Airbrush Eye Cream?

Dremu’s Airbrush Refining Eye Cream is a lightweight, hydrating eye cream designed to reduce puffiness, fine lines, and crow’s feet around the eyes. The product contains a blend of emu oil, collagen, ceramides, and green tea extract, all of which aim to hydrate, firm, and soothe the delicate skin in the under-eye area.

It’s marketed as a quick-acting product, claiming that it can reduce puffiness within minutes, especially when applied cold. The cream’s formulation is designed to be non-greasy and absorbs quickly, making it suitable for daily use under makeup.

While it’s more affordable than high-end competitors like La Mer and Shiseido, the true effectiveness of this product is something that varies from user to user, making it important to look at the details and reviews for a better understanding of its performance.

About the Brand

Dremu is a skincare brand that prides itself on offering effective products with natural ingredients, including their signature Dremu Oil. Based in the United States, Dremu has been producing skincare items for over 28 years, and they market their products as affordable alternatives to high-end brands.

While the brand has a loyal customer base, it has not achieved the same level of recognition as more prominent luxury skincare brands like La Mer or Shiseido. Some consumers have raised concerns about the relatively low transparency regarding clinical testing and ingredient sourcing, though the brand emphasizes its commitment to quality manufacturing in the U.S. Despite these concerns, Dremu remains a popular choice for those looking for more budget-friendly skincare solutions.

How Does Airbrush Eye Cream Work?

The Airbrush Refining Eye Cream works by utilizing a blend of active ingredients designed to hydrate, firm, and reduce puffiness. Airbrush Eye Cream is very high in antioxidants. Antioxidants have powerful anti-aging properties. They can heal skin barrier damage by destroying harmful free radicals and reducing oxidative stress.

Some of the active ingredients in this treatment include a high collagen concentration, which may improve skin structure by firming and plumping the skin and making it more resistant to environmental impacts.

The cream’s lightweight formula absorbs quickly, making it easy to apply in the morning and evening. However, while the product’s claims of rapid results are attractive, the long-term effects of using these ingredients remain somewhat unclear. Despite its promising ingredients, the lack of extensive clinical trials raises questions about its overall effectiveness for all users.

Airbrush Eye Cream Ingredients – Are they Safe & Effective?

It’s important to note that Airbrush is made from gentle ingredients that are sure to be safe, even if you have sensitive skin. Its components are as follows:

Triple-Refined Emu Oil

Emu oil is the primary active ingredient in Dremu’s Airbrush Refining Eye Cream. Known for its deeply moisturizing properties, it contains essential fatty acids that help restore the skin’s natural moisture balance.

Studies suggest that emu oil can be beneficial for reducing inflammation and promoting healing (2015). It is commonly used in skincare for its ability to penetrate deeply into the skin, delivering hydration and nutrients.

Collagen

Collagen is a protein that helps to maintain skin’s structure and elasticity. As we age, collagen production decreases, leading to sagging skin and wrinkles. By incorporating collagen into the formula, the cream aims to support the skin’s structural integrity, making it appear firmer and smoother.

Clinical studies have demonstrated that collagen supplementation can improve skin elasticity over time (Dermatology Practical & Conceptual 2022).

Ceramides

Ceramides are lipids found naturally in the skin and help to retain moisture and form a protective barrier. They are known to improve skin hydration and protect against environmental damage. Studies have shown that ceramide-based products can help to restore the skin’s barrier function, reducing dryness and irritation (Cells, 2021).

Green tea

Research has shown that green tea extract can significantly reduce inflammation and improve skin elasticity, making it beneficial for preventing premature aging (Cleveland Clinic). It also has the ability to help in reducing puffiness and is often used to calm and protect the skin from environmental stressors, making it a popular ingredient in eye creams and soothing skincare products.

Aloe vera

Aloe vera is widely recognized for its ability to calm irritated skin and reduce inflammation, making it an excellent ingredient for sensitive skin. It is commonly used to treat sunburns, rashes, and other skin irritations.

Studies have shown that aloe vera can help improve skin hydration and may even accelerate the healing of wounds (Iranian Journal of Medical Sciences). In eye creams, aloe vera helps to smooth and hydrate the delicate under-eye skin, contributing to a refreshed appearance.

How To Use Airbrush Eye Cream?

To use the Airbrush Refining Eye Cream, apply a small amount to the under-eye area and gently smooth it over the skin, especially around the crow’s feet. There’s no need to rub it in vigorously; it will absorb quickly. For best results, use it both in the morning and at night.

If you want to enhance its effectiveness, try applying it cold for a refreshing, immediate reduction in puffiness. Avoid overuse to prevent irritation, and always apply sunscreen during the day as the skin around the eyes can become more sensitive with regular use of active ingredients.

Benefits of Airbrush Eye Cream

  • Possible Instant Puffiness Reduction:
The cream may help reduce puffiness around the eyes, especially when applied cold. This could offer an immediate refreshing effect that helps revive the look of tired, swollen eyes.
  • Potential for Improved Skin Texture:
With regular use, the eye cream can target the appearance of fine lines and crow’s feet, potentially improving the skin’s texture and giving it a smoother, firmer look over time.
  • Lightweight Formula:
The formula is designed to be lightweight, which should allow it to absorb quickly into the skin without leaving any greasy residue. This feature could make it ideal for use under makeup, possibly ensuring no interference with your routine.
  • Hydrating Properties:
Infused with emu oil and ceramides, the cream may deeply hydrate the delicate under-eye skin. These ingredients could help lock in moisture, potentially preventing dryness and keeping the skin looking nourished and supple throughout the day.

Side Effects of Airbrush Eye Cream

The Airbrush Refining Eye Cream is generally well-tolerated, but some users may experience mild irritation or sensitivity, particularly if they have sensitive skin. In rare cases, the product may cause redness or a stinging sensation. It’s important to start with a small amount and gradually increase usage if irritation does not occur. If severe irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a dermatologist.

Safety

This eye cream is formulated with soothing ingredients such as aloe vera and emu oil, which are generally safe for sensitive skin. However, it’s always a good idea to patch-test new products before applying them to the entire area.

The cream is free from parabens and sulfates, which makes it a safer option for those concerned about harsh chemicals. Nevertheless, because of the inclusion of green tea extract and retinol derivatives, it is recommended to apply sunscreen during the day to protect the skin from increased sun sensitivity.

How Much Does Airbrush Eye Cream Cost?

The Airbrush Refining Eye Cream is priced at $68 for a 3-month supply, making it a more affordable option compared to luxury eye creams like La Mer or Shiseido.

For those who want to stock up, the brand offers a 6-month supply for $126, which may provide a better value for regular users. While this is relatively cost-effective, some users may still find it pricey for a product that doesn’t consistently deliver the dramatic results promised.

What Do the Airbrush Eye Cream Reviews Say?

I’ve been using this cream for a few weeks. It definitely helps with puffiness, but I haven’t noticed any significant improvement with my fine lines yet. It’s light and absorbs quickly, but it could be more hydrating. ~ Megan L. (Chicago)

Nice texture and absorbs well, but I didn’t see much difference in the puffiness around my eyes. Maybe with continued use, there will be more noticeable effects. For now, it’s just an okay product for me. ~James T. (New York)

After a few days of use, my eyes feel less puffy and smoother. It works well for hydration and does what it says. However, I was hoping for more noticeable anti-aging effects, which didn’t really happen. ~Lisa M. (Los Angeles)

Really impressed with how quickly it reduces puffiness. It feels refreshing and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. I’ve noticed a slight difference in my fine lines. It’s not a miracle, but it does a decent job for the price. ~David R. (Miami)

I was hopeful about this product but didn’t see much change in my under-eye area. It hydrates, but the puffiness and dark circles remain the same. Overall, a bit underwhelming given all the positive reviews. ~Kara P. (San Francisco)

Customer feedback on the Airbrush Refining Eye Cream is mixed. While many users report positive effects on puffiness and hydration, some feel the results for fine lines and dark circles are minimal. It seems to work well for some, but not for others.

Airbrush Eye Cream Review – Final Verdict

Dremu’s Airbrush Refining Eye Cream has gained attention for its ability to reduce puffiness around the eyes, providing a noticeable cooling and refreshing effect, especially when applied cold. The lightweight texture and quick absorption make it an easy addition to your daily routine, and it works well for tackling minor skin texture issues.

However, the cream falls short when it comes to addressing more stubborn concerns like fine lines and dark circles. Despite its claims, the product’s anti-aging benefits are limited, with many users reporting minimal improvement in these areas.

Additionally, while the cream is hydrating, its effectiveness for long-term skin rejuvenation remains questionable. Given its modest results, the price point may not seem justified for some customers, especially when compared to more clinically-backed alternatives. If you’re seeking a product that delivers more comprehensive results for the eye area, you might want to explore other eye creams with proven efficacy.

The most common eye area issues are puffiness, dark circles, wrinkles and crow's feet, and loss of hydration. There are countless eye gel-creams available on the market today, making it seem nearly impossible to find the “right one” that meets our specific under eye needs. It is imperative to find a product that has been formulated to address a variety of complex eye area problems.

  1. Hayes Emily

Hydrating but underwhelming for aging concerns
I needed an eye cream to tackle deeper lines and dark circles; this one helped with surface hydration but not the structural issues. After five weeks skin felt softer but the depth of my lines and persistent shadowing didn’t budge. Packaging and scent are pleasant, but for anyone with mature skin looking to reduce deeper wrinkles or under-eye hollows, this won’t meet that need. It’s a light hydrator… not a corrective product.
  2. Amber

Airbrush Eye Cream is not worth the money.
Airbrush Eye Cream is effective for wrinkles around the eyes, but it has little effect on dark circles or puffiness. I followed the instructions exactly and nothing seemed to change. It is not worth the money.
