How Does it Work?

This serum features a key ingredient called niacinamide, which has been shown to actively support well-hydrated skin.

In precise, niacinamide elevates the skin’s ability to hold moisture. It also minimizes hyperpigmentation by preventing the transfer of melanin to the skin cells.

In addition, niacinamide enables Topicals Faded Serum to deal with acne due to its sebostatic and anti-microbial effects. The serum soaks and clears away dark spots by lightening the skin tone in particular areas.

Tranexamic acid, on the other hand, aids to lighten the skin by breaking down proteins that enhance melanin production. Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract on the other hand enhances collagen in the skin and promotes skin firmness and strength resulting in a youthful appearance.

Topicals Faded Serum, as a whole, promotes firm, smooth, and youthful skin by incorporating Azelaic acid, which inhibits the tyrosinase enzyme, thus reducing hyperpigmentation. This enzyme is responsible for melanin synthesis, and by diminishing its production, the serum helps balance the skin tone. Additionally, the inclusion of Kojic Acid in the serum further inhibits tyrosinase, contributing to the brightening and fading of dark spots, making it an exceptional choice for the best skin care serum.

Topicals Faded Serum Ingredients – Are they Safe & Effective?

Licorice Root

– Licorice is a natural skin-lightening ingredient as it contains glabridin which inhibits the tyrosinase enzyme responsible for skin pigmentation.

It is also able to balance skin tone without causing skin irritation, unlike other brightening ingredients.

Its anti-inflammatory properties make the root not cause skin redness or irritation. Licorice root contains antioxidant properties that help protect the skin from free radicals.[1]

Tranexamic Acid

– Tranexamic Acid commonly referred to as TXA is useful in treating hyperpigmentation, melisma, and dark spots.

It works by reducing the interaction of keratinocytes (skin cells) with melanin-forming cells. TXA contains antifibrinolytic properties that are useful in treating rosacea. Studies also show that the acid is effective in minimizing skin redness and acne inflammation.[2]

Niacinamide

Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 that is water-soluble. It prevents dark spots by regulating the transfer of melanin pigment. Niacinamide contains anti-inflammatory features that make it not cause skin irritation or redness.

Nicotinamide is paired with other ingredients such as Kojic acid, hydroquinone, and arbutin that synergistically work as a dark spots remover. It helps prevent acne breakout by balancing oil and sebum production.[3]

Kojic Acid

Kojic acid is mostly used as a lightning agent. Tyrosine an amino acid enhances the production of melanin. Kojic acid blocks the formation of tyrosine hence causing a lightening effect.

In addition to brightening the skin, Kojic acid has antimicrobial properties that help fight bacteria. Its antifungal properties are beneficial in treating infections such as ringworm, candidiasis, and yeast infections.[4]

Azelaic Acid

Azelaic acid is a tyrosinase inhibitor hence is used in the treatment of hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone.

It is more mild compared to other acne-fighting ingredients since it contains antibacterial and antioxidant properties that help to unclog skin pores.[5]

    Topicals Faded Serum is Fake
I ordered Topicals Faded Serum, and when it arrived, the packaging was a little broken and contained a used mascara. It was supposed to be replaced once I returned it, but it hasn’t come yet. So I can’t say whether the product works or not.
