Its anti-inflammatory properties make the root not cause skin redness or irritation. Licorice root contains antioxidant properties that help protect the skin from free radicals.[1]

Tranexamic Acid

– Tranexamic Acid commonly referred to as TXA is useful in treating hyperpigmentation, melisma, and dark spots.

It works by reducing the interaction of keratinocytes (skin cells) with melanin-forming cells. TXA contains antifibrinolytic properties that are useful in treating rosacea. Studies also show that the acid is effective in minimizing skin redness and acne inflammation.[2]

Niacinamide

Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 that is water-soluble. It prevents dark spots by regulating the transfer of melanin pigment. Niacinamide contains anti-inflammatory features that make it not cause skin irritation or redness.

Nicotinamide is paired with other ingredients such as Kojic acid, hydroquinone, and arbutin that synergistically work as a dark spots remover. It helps prevent acne breakout by balancing oil and sebum production.[3]

Kojic Acid

Kojic acid is mostly used as a lightning agent. Tyrosine an amino acid enhances the production of melanin. Kojic acid blocks the formation of tyrosine hence causing a lightening effect.

In addition to brightening the skin, Kojic acid has antimicrobial properties that help fight bacteria. Its antifungal properties are beneficial in treating infections such as ringworm, candidiasis, and yeast infections.[4]

Azelaic Acid

Azelaic acid is a tyrosinase inhibitor hence is used in the treatment of hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone.

    Not a miracle but effective.
This Serum does help with lightening dark spots but the results have been gradual. I expected faster improvement. My skin feels smoother and more hydrated but it did not completely clear up my pigmentation issues. It is a solid product but not the quick fix I was hoping for.

    Topicals Faded Serum is Fake
I ordered Topicals Faded Serum, and when it arrived, the packaging was a little broken and contained a used mascara. It was supposed to be replaced once I returned it, but it hasn’t come yet. So I can’t say whether the product works or not.
