Blue Goo Ingredients – Are They Safe & Effective?

Menthol

– Menthol is a topical analgesic that is well known for its cooling property that is used to alleviate pain and reduce inflammation. Stimulation of cold receptors in the skin by menthol generates a fast and cooling effect, which can be used to relieve muscle pains, joint aches, and minor injuries.

Studies have consistently shown its effectiveness in reducing pain and enhancing blood circulation. Research has confirmed that menthol can offer significant relief from acute pain and inflammation when applied topically. [1]

Glucosamine HCl

– Glucosamine is a natural substance commonly used to maintain the well-being of the joints. It is important in cartilage production that cushions the joints and alleviates pains arising due to disorders like osteoarthritis.

Studies have demonstrated that glucosamine can significantly reduce joint pain and improve mobility, making it a popular ingredient in pain relief gels targeting arthritis and joint discomfort. [2]

Emu Oil

– Emu oil is a natural moisturizer that is highly anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving. It penetrates deep into the skin and is commonly employed to treat muscle pain, stiffness of joints, and inflammation.

Research published highlights emu oil’s ability to reduce pain and inflammation, especially in people with conditions like arthritis, due to its high concentration of omega fatty acids and antioxidants. [3]

Methyl Salicylate

– Wintergreen oil or methyl salicylate is a commonly used analgesic and anti-inflammatory drug. It works by encouraging the skin to develop a warm sensation that intensifies the circulation of blood and alleviates pain.

Scientific research published in the British Journal of Pharmacology has shown that methyl salicylate can effectively reduce pain and stiffness in conditions like arthritis, making it a valuable ingredient in topical pain relief treatments. [4]

Arnica Montana Flower Extract

– Arnica is renowned for reducing swellings, bruises, and pains. Ancient herbal medicine has employed it for centuries in the treatment of sore muscles, sprains, and other inflammatory disorders.

Research published supports the use of arnica for reducing pain and improving healing in conditions like sprains and bruising, making it an effective natural remedy for muscle and joint pain relief. [5]

Blue Goo Pain Relieving Gel Customer Reviews

The official Blue Goo site lacks any customer ratings, which makes it suspicious of the effectiveness and practical outcomes of the gel. Nevertheless, we have collected some customer responses on some internet websites which reveal that this gel is not effective for all users, with some finding some benefits in it, and others do not.

Here are some customer reviews:

“Helps a sore back and ankle.”

“Works “OK”, but is only 2.5% Menthol vs the 10% that other products have.
Smells kinda like bubble-gum instead of menthol, which is a little weird to me.” – Jeff A

Blue Goo Review – Final Verdict

Blue Goo Pain Relieving Gel is promoted as a drug that will solve muscle and joint pains, with a minimal yet powerful ingredient list consisting of menthol, glucosamine, and emu oil. Its emphasis on rapid and immediate analgesic effects can attract those who desire non-prescription pain management products.

Nevertheless, the fact that it does not have any user reviews makes it questionable whether it is really effective and transparent in its work. It is hard to determine how effective it is with other kinds of pain without more extensive feedback. Do your own research before buying a product by thinking about your needs and personal requirements in pain relief, and also seek expert advice.

Bones are connected by joints, which allow us to move with ease. Joint damage can cause pain preventing you from doing the things you once loved. Topical joint relief products tend to work more quickly, helping to relieve pain directly in the affected area compared to products taken orally. A topical joint pain relief product should be evaluated on its: potential to block the transportation of pain signals, potential to act as a counterirritant to reduce soreness and Quality of Ingredients* backed by clinical research.

Decent topical relief but limited long-term impact
I use this gel once in the morning and again post-workout on my lower back and elbows. Application is easy and absorption is quick, which I like. I noticed slightly better mobility for an hour or so, mostly due to the menthol cooling. That said, deeper pain relief was minimal. Ingredient list is solid, but sourcing isn’t explained and the scent lingers. For mild aches it’s fine, for chronic pain it falls short.

I have bought this cream for 6 months. Wonderful!
This cream has been a lifesaver for me. I have used it daily for 6 months to help me through some painful times. It is the best I have tried. It absorbs quickly and does not have a strong smell. It provides me with relief, so I apply it several times a day. I love it. Please continue to keep it on the store shelves. Thank you so much.

    Pain pain go away
I was over 600 miles from my doctors visiting my parents when I had a horrible arthritis attack. I hurt so so bad not knowing what I could do other than head to the ER, my mother had a bottle of blue goo cream. I was so skeptical but what the heck, my mother helped me rub in the cream on my left knee and within 2 hours. I was able to walk on it…I’ve been a solid customer of this cream for 9 years now… it’s not too harsh and it doesn’t have a foul odor like other creams…I just wish I could get it in bigger sizes. Perfect product for me… thanks blue goo.
