What is Fungicure Antifungal Liquid?
Fungicure Antifungal Liquid is an over-the-counter treatment designed to address common fungal infections that affect the skin around and under the nails.
It’s marketed as a solution for issues like athlete’s foot, ringworm, and other fungal conditions that can cause discomfort, itching, and redness. The product claims to target and eliminate six types of fungus, aiming to stop the spread of infection and provide relief from symptoms.
Fungicure comes with a brush-on applicator, which allows for precise application to hard-to-reach areas, like under nail tips or around the edges of nails. About the Manufacturer
Fungicure Antifungal Liquid is manufactured by Kobayashi Healthcare, a company known for offering over-the-counter health solutions. They focus on creating products that address common health concerns, including fungal infections.
Their treatments are recognized as safe and effective when used as directed, with active ingredients approved by FDA Expert Advisory Panels. Kobayashi Healthcare emphasizes user-friendly designs, like brush applicators, to make treatments more accessible.
But while the brand has a solid reputation for practical solutions, we learned its products may not address all types of fungal infections, such as those under intact nails.
How Does Fungicure Antifungal Liquid Work?
Fungicure Antifungal Liquid claims to target and inhibit the growth of fungal cells. It is designed to treat common fungal infections, including athlete’s foot, ringworm, and skin infections around and under the nails.
The product claims to eliminate fungus on contact, helping to stop its spread and relieve symptoms like itching, redness, and scaling. Its brush-on applicator, as we noted earlier, allows for precise application to hard-to-reach areas, such as under nail tips and around cuticles, so you won’t have to touch the affected skin.
According to the manufacturer, consistent use as directed may lead to visible results in as little as four weeks. However, it is not effective on intact nails or scalp, as over-the-counter treatments cannot penetrate these areas.
Fungicure Antifungal Liquid Ingredients: Are They Safe & Effective?
Tolnaftate 1%
Tolnaftate 1% is the active ingredient in Fungicure Antifungal Liquid, known for its antifungal properties. It inhibits the growth of fungi, specifically targeting the biosynthesis of ergosterol, a vital component of fungal cell membranes.
This disruption weakens the fungal structure, prevents its spread, and aids in the elimination of infections like athlete’s foot, ringworm, and jock itch[1]. Tolnaftate is pretty common in over-the-counter treatments due to its safety and effectiveness when you apply it as directed.
But, while it is effective on exposed fungal infections, it does not penetrate intact nails or scalp.
How to Use Fungicure Antifungal Liquid?
Start by cleaning and thoroughly drying the affected area. Apply a thin layer of the liquid twice daily, once in the morning and once at night. Use the brush applicator to target hard-to-reach areas, such as under nail tips and around cuticles.
Continue using the product daily for at least four weeks, even if symptoms improve, to help prevent recurrence.
Benefits of Fungicure Antifungal Liquid
- Targets Multiple Fungal Infections: The product claims to treat six types of fungal infections, including athlete’s foot, ringworm, and exposed nail-bed fungus.
- Prevents Recurrence: When used daily, Fungicure is said to help prevent fungal infections from returning. This can be beneficial if you’re prone to recurring issues.
- Precise Application: The brush applicator allows targeted use, reaching areas like under nail tips and around cuticles without direct hand contact.
- Visible Results in Weeks: The company claims users may see visible improvements in as little as four weeks with consistent application.
- Symptom Relief: Fungicure is designed to relieve discomforts like itching, redness, and scaling, which are common with fungal infections.
Does Fungicure Antifungal Liquid Have Side Effects?
Some users have reported mild skin irritation, including redness, itching, or a slight burning sensation after application. In rare cases, severe reactions like blistering, peeling, or swelling have been noted. If these symptoms persist or worsen, we recommend you stop use and consult a healthcare provider.
If you have to use it, ensure the affected area is clean and dry before application. Avoid using the product on broken skin or sensitive areas.
Safety Of Fungicure Antifungal Liquid
Fungicure Antifungal Liquid is regarded as safe and effective when used as directed, with its active ingredient approved by an FDA Expert Advisory Panel. It is designed for external use on skin and areas around nails, but is not effective on intact nails or scalp.
The product includes clear usage instructions to minimize risks and ensure proper application. Users with sensitive skin or allergies should consult a healthcare provider.

I bought this product and used it religiously daily some times twice a day and even bought another bottle and used this product everyday for over 2 months with NO RESULT!!! Waste of money and time. See dr for oral medication!– Ralph.
Does not actually work on a fungus infected Nail Plate unless the plate is totally removed first. That is a surgical procedure.. Nail infections start in the nail “Matrix” behind and farther under the cuticle. To be effective, topical medication must reach that growth area. However, it is Good for common “athlete’s foot” infections. – Temptones.
