Will Vitamin D3 Improve My Sexual Performance?

The study shows that vitamin D is closely associated with erectile dysfunction. Among the long list of consequences because of vitamin D, atherosclerosis is one of them.

Vitamin D plays a crucial role in the smooth operation of the endothelial cells. When your body lacks vitamin D, your endothelial cells are more prone to damage and dysfunction, which ultimately leads to atherosclerosis along with arterial calcification.

There was a study conducted by a group of Italian researchers. They recruited 143 men with erectile dysfunction (ED).

They were evaluated for penile atherosclerosis, and the researchers also checked out the level of vitamin D3 in their blood. The researchers wanted to find the relationship between vitamin D3 and atherosclerosis.

Among the participants, 50 men were suffering from atherosclerotic ED, 28 from borderline ED, while 65 others were suffering from non-atherosclerotic ED.

The average level of vitamin D in their blood level was 21.3ng/mL and 20.2% of the men had more vitamin D with over 30ng/mL. The majority of the participants had a deficiency of vitamin D with less than 20ng/mL.

The result revealed that the ED patients who lacked vitamin D level in their blood are the ones suffering from severe ED, and others were suffering from mild to moderate ED.

The atherosclerotic ED patients were the ones with the worst deficiency of vitamin D level in comparison to other ED patients.

The study concluded that erectile dysfunction is closely associated with erectile dysfunction. And the ED patients should have their vitamin D3 level checked.

The optimum level of vitamin D3 can enhance endothelial function, which can reduce or prevent erectile dysfunction.
