A: Yohimbe is possibly unsafe when taken by mouth. Yohimbine, a chemical found in Yohimbe, is linked to severe side effects such as irregular heartbeats, heart attacks, and others.
According to some sources, no more than 30 mg of yohimbine hydrochloride per day will be effective or around 10 mg three times daily ( 10 ). In other studies, 0.09 mg/pound/day (0.20 mg/kg/day) has been used. Taking this supplement may cause severe side effects since each capsule contains 451 mg.
