How Does Elysium Health Products Work?

Elysium Health is a supplement company that is currently developing and testing a pill that contains a blend of ingredients meant to improve your health. The company claims that its pill will help you live longer, look younger, and feel more energized.

The company’s website says that the pill is made up of three main ingredients: nicotinamide riboside (NR), pterostilbene (PT), and resveratrol. NR is an amino acid that contains vitamin B3, while PT is a naturally occurring compound found in blueberries and grapes. Resveratrol is a natural antioxidant found in red wine.

The company says that by taking their pill every day, you’ll increase your NAD+ levels—which are responsible for regulating energy production throughout your body. This will help improve your health and make you look younger than ever before!

Elysium Health Ingredients – Are they Safe & Effective?

Nicotinamide Riboside (NR-E)

Nicotinamide Riboside (NR-E) is a vitamin B3 derivative that has been shown to have a number of benefits in humans, including improved mitochondrial function and reduced inflammation.[1]

It’s also been shown to improve insulin sensitivity, increase NAD+ levels in the brain, and improve cognitive function.

Pterostilbene (PT)

Pterostilbene is a compound found in blueberries that have been shown to have neuroprotective properties, meaning it helps protect your brain from damage. [2]

Pterostilbene is also known to increase blood flow, which is important for maintaining healthy brain function.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C, or ascorbic acid, is an essential nutrient that’s needed for a wide variety of functions in your body.[3]

Vitamin C helps maintain the structure of collagen and other proteins, which are essential to skin, bone, and teeth health. Vitamin C also plays a key role in the functioning of your immune system by helping white blood cells fight off infections and disease-causing bacteria. As we noted in our newly published article Vimergy Review , Adequate Vitamin C intake promotes collagen production, which can contribute to healthy skin, wound healing, and the maintenance of strong connective tissues.

Vitamin C can be found in a number of fruits and vegetables, such as oranges, strawberries, and broccoli. It’s also available as a supplement or in multivitamins.

Broccoli (Brassica oleracea) sprout extract

Broccoli (Brassica oleracea) sprout extract is a natural compound extracted from broccoli sprouts. It is also known as sulforaphane glucosinolate and contains the glucosinolate molecule that gives broccoli its characteristic flavor.[4]

Broccoli sprout extract has been shown to have many health benefits, including anti-cancer properties, antioxidant activity, blood pressure-lowering effects, and more.

Elderberry (Sambucus nigra)

Elderberry (Sambucus nigra) is a perennial shrub that grows wild. It can be found near water and in forests, but it also thrives in many areas of North America. The berries are very toxic to humans, but the flowers, leaves, twigs, and roots are used in herbal remedies.[5]

Elderberry has been used for centuries for its medicinal properties. The berries have been used as an expectorant for coughs and colds and to treat diarrhea and fever. The flowers have been used to treat sore throats, toothaches, bladder infections, and arthritis pain, as we described in our Nuzena Elderberry Pure + Reviews article. The leaves have been used to relieve skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and acne.

Green tea

Green tea is a type of tea that is made from the leaves of Camellia sinensis. The leaves are dried, rolled, and fermented before they are processed. Green tea differs from other teas because it undergoes minimal processing. This means that nutrients like polyphenols, vitamin C, and amino acids are preserved in the finished product. Our content on Obvi reviews documents Green tea and its extract as a stand-alone supplement for health.[6]

Senolytics quercetin

Quercetin is a type of natural substance found in plants, and it is known to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-cancer properties. Senolytics are drugs that can cause senescent cells to die off. In a study published in the journal Aging Cell, researchers demonstrated that quercetin has the ability to kill off senescent cells. This could be useful for preventing or treating age-related diseases like Alzheimer’s disease.[7]

Fisetin (Rhus succedanea)

Fisetin (Rhus succedanea) is the flavonoid found in the leaves of the Rhus succedanea plant. It is believed to be an antioxidant and has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. It also shows potential as a treatment for immune support, as referenced in one of our Clean Nutra supplements.[8]

Extracts of Chinese ginseng (Panax notoginseng)

The extract of Chinese ginseng is used in the treatment of diabetes, high blood pressure, and cancer. It can also be used to treat anemia, insomnia, and chronic hepatitis B.[9]

The extract is made from the root of Panax ginseng. The roots are dried, powdered, and then extracted using water or alcohol.

Omega 3 Lysine Complex

Omega 3 Lysine Complex (also known as Omegachrome, or just O3L) is a dietary supplement that has been shown to boost cognitive function, improve focus, and increase mental clarity. It also helps with skin health and can be used as a treatment for acne.

Omega 3 Lysine Complex is made up of three essential fatty acids: Linolenic Acid (ALA), Alpha Linolenic Acid (ALA), and Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA). These fatty acids are important for brain health and have been shown to help prevent Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other cognitive disorders. They also help with mental clarity, focus, and energy levels.

Bilberry Extract

Bilberry Extract is an antioxidant and antimicrobial that can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also helps to improve skin elasticity and firmness, as well as protect against free radical damage.

Bilberry Extract is made up of anthocyanosides, which are compounds that have been shown to have antioxidant properties. In fact, anthocyanosides have been shown to be more effective than vitamin E or green tea in protecting cells from oxidative stressors.

Bilberry Extract has also been shown to have antibacterial properties and can help fight off acne-causing bacteria that lead to breakouts on your skin.

NMN (B-Nicotinamide Mononucleotide)

Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) is a compound that has garnered attention for its potential health benefits, particularly in the realm of aging and cellular function. It is a precursor to nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+), a coenzyme involved in various cellular processes, including energy metabolism, DNA repair, and gene expression.

As explored in our Liposomal NMN+ Review, NMN supplementation may help increase NAD+ levels in cells, which could potentially support cellular function and overall health. Research suggests that NMN may offer benefits such as improved mitochondrial function, enhanced metabolism, and protection against age-related decline.

Honokiol

Honokiol is a natural compound found in the bark of Magnolia trees. It’s used to treat a variety of conditions, including cancer and inflammation. Honokiol works by slowing the growth of cancer cells, blocking their ability to spread throughout the body, and preventing them from forming new blood vessels.

Honokiol is also researched for its potential to treat other diseases such as herpes simplex virus (HSV), Parkinson’s disease (PD), Alzheimer’s disease (AD), stroke, diabetes mellitus type 2, obesity and metabolic syndrome.

Elysium Health Review- Final Word

Elysium Health is a company that sells dietary supplements, which they claim can help improve cognitive function. The company was founded in 2014 by Eric Marcotulli and Leonard Guarente, who have both been involved in the field of aging research for decades.

Elysium’s products are promoted as being based on science and research, but there are some concerns about their claims. They recommend taking their supplements for long periods of time, which could be dangerous for some people.

The company also doesn’t disclose enough information about how they make their products or how they test them. Because of this lack of transparency, it’s difficult to be sure whether Elysium Health’s products are safe or effective.

  1. Lesley

I use their supplements and like the company
I’ve been a customer for several years and have had a positive experience. I take four of their supplements and believe the medical science that undergirds them to be valid.

I’m always amazed at people who buy a bottle or two and then complain that they don’t feel instantly better. These supplements are NOT meant to make you instantly healthier! They are meant to make you healthier over the LONG TERM.

A healthy lifestyle is built over decades day by day with exercise, good diet, weight control and avoidance of unhealthy practices. I have also done the Index test twice. It’s expensive but provides very valuable information for health-conscious people.

My only criticism of Elysium Health is that they are not more open about their business and the way they research and produce their products. A more candid approach would be highly advisable and attractive to potential customers.
