SkinCeuticals A.G.E. Interrupter – Final Verdict

As we age, the skin loses its moisture levels, protein composition, and firmness giving way to the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. With these changes, proteins and lipids are forced to bond with a sugar molecule in a process known as glycation. Glycation, as we’ve seen earlier, contributes a lot to the natural aging process.

SkinCeuticals A.G.E Interrupter is an antiaging product that claims to reduce fine lines and wrinkles through its anti-glycation ingredients. It also promises to improve skin laxity and reduce crepey skin for both men and women.

With a blend of blueberry extract (antioxidants), phytosphingosine (lipids), and proxylane (moisture), this product may actually realize its goal. Moreover, these key ingredients have scientific backing which supports their effectiveness. And if science supports this product, it may probably work.

On the product page, Dr. Anca Tchelebi from Park Avenue Medical Spa reviewed this product saying that its corrective nature would notably improve the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Additionally, this formula is effective for dry, normal, and sensitive skin. It is free from alcohol, dye, and parabens. This means that the chances of getting skin irritation are quite slim. So if you have sensitive skin, you can use this cream especially if you do not react to perfumed products. If fragrance is not for you at all, you may want to opt for a different product from the same brand because they have an option.

I had severe reaction to this product
I purchased this in a special set of A G E interrupter, CE ferulic, and Resveratrol from the Dermstore. I had been using the SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic for over 10 years with no problem it worked great. Then 2019 they had a special where you got the 3 products together for a little cheaper I didn’t use it right away because I had not finished the bottle of CE Ferulic I had. BUT when I did start using these 3 products together as instructed it was a nightmare. I called the DermStore I texted them several times I even asked to send them pictures of my skin every time I would try the product again but no response from them I just this week while looking at my account saw where they did ok a return on one product I had bought prior to the 3 in the special Thing is that was not the problem item it was the kit of the 3 items together that caused the issue. After the first really bad skin problem from using it like the instructions that came with it explained to do I can now not use any of those products even the CE Ferulic that I had loved to use before. My skin was burned all over the face, my eyes were swollen nearly shut I had red bumps all over my face and several times these bumps would have fluids coming out of them and every time I would try to use it got worse and worse I have pictures of all this for every time I would try it again it got worse my pictures will shock you and it was very painful. I had spent so much money on these 3 products I was trying not to throw it away But this week I tried just using the AGE Interrupter and by the afternoon my skin was burning till I finally had to get it off my face it was even painful doing this I had sent the Dermstore another text because of their lack of response and went over everything again…They did email me back and said they would not credit my account or swap it out because I was wondering if it had been contaminated because everything in the package even the C F Ferulic that I had used for years I can no longer even use that. There’s very little of any of these 3 products even been used there probably 99 or 98% unused. They would never respond to my asking could I please send them pictures Dates are on the pictures on my phone and like I said I spent so much money that I really didn’t have to spare I wanted to use them I never told my husband how much I spent even with it being a so-called special price. This has caused me so much pain you would not believe how bad my face looked now my skin feels awful it’s so dry I have to put petroleum jelly on it all day and night when it wakes me up which is every night Let me know if you want me to send pictures and copy of shipping invoice.
    Thanks
