Fennel for Menopause Symptoms
The new research on the effectiveness of fennel to help ease the symptoms of menopause was carried out on a number of women but details of the experiment kept secret from them, those administering the intervention, and the committee of researchers in charge to evaluate the results of the experiment- it was a triple-blind trial.
The experiment was first carried out on 90 Iranian women between 45 and 60 years. All the women were then administered tablets containing 100mg of fennel twice daily for a period of 10 weeks. Out of the 90 women, 45 were administered with a placebo and the rest with the fennel capsules.
At the end of the experiment, results from both groups were compared using the Menopause Rating Scale after a period of 4, 8 and 10 weeks intervals from the start of the experiment.
According to the results obtained from the participants’ responses, fennel for menopause was found to be more effective and safe in reducing menopausal symptoms compared to those that received a placebo intervention.

The lower MRS scores recorded in participants who received a fennel treatment thus drew the researcher into concluding that fennel for menopause was more effective and recommendable to help in getting rid of adverse menopausal symptoms listed above.
