Decreasing Testosterone Level – Primary Culprit

After the age of 19, men’s testosterone levels start to decline. At first, this decline isn’t dramatic and most men don’t feel consequences on their sexual performance. However, once they reach 30, testosterone levels start to decrease at a higher rate and they are turned into estrogen through a process called aromatization.

Due to aromatization, men experience low testosterone levels and symptoms such as:

  • Lack of motivation
  • Low libido
  • Impaired sexual performance
  • Inability to concentrate
  • Fatigue
  • Depression
  • Loss of muscle mass
  • Enlarged breasts
  • Increased body fat.

However, fluctuating testosterone levels don’t affect your sexual performance only. They have a major impact on your overall health. For example, a study conducted by Dr. Molly M. Shores at the Veterans Administration Puget Sound Health Care System and the University of Washington, Seattle proved that low testosterone levels increase death risk.

Throughout the course of the study, Shores and her colleagues inspected whether low testosterone levels were associated with death risk for 858 men over 40. Results of this study were published in the Archives of Internal Medicine and they showed that low testosterone in older men was linked with increased risk of mortality.

A team of researchers pointed out that during the course of the study which lasted about 4 years, 20.1% of men with normal testosterone levels died, 24.6% of men with equivocal testosterone levels died, while the percentage of men with low testosterone levels who died was 34.9%. However, scientists aren’t quite sure what the link between increased mortality and testosterone ratio is.

In order to maintain muscle mass and sexual performance it’s important to normalize the conversion of testosterone into estrogen.

Below, you can see what ingredients can help you improve sexual functioning in a natural manner and other healthy ways of improving sexual performance.
