You can practice a wide range of slow-range motion exercises like moving your head gently from side to side, and moving your head up and down slowly.

Lastly, having a good posture is very much essential to get rid of neck pain. Use a chair, which can be reclined, slightly like the seat of a car. Do keep the monitor of your computer and your books for reading at the eye level, so that you do not strain your neck by looking up or down.
