But the question is – do these drinks provide greater pain relief than the supplements your doctor prescribed?

When speaking of beverages for joint pain, what most people usually refer to are supplements in liquid form specially formulated to treat joint pain. You will find these drinks being sold online and in supermarkets, and they usually contain a blend of important nutrients and the staple ingredients in arthritis treatment – chondroitin and glucosamine. Their joint pain products can be purchased exclusively online through the official product website and through online stores. Other than joint pain drinks, other types of joint pain beverages are everyday drinks like tea and certain juices that medical experts believe also have the potential to mitigate joint pain.

Do these Drinks Really Work?

There are no clinical studies examining the efficiency of joint pain beverages so there’s no way to tell if these products work or not. However, there are studies on the individual ingredients found in joint pain beverages, most notably glucosamine and chondroitin. Both compounds are precursors in the production of joint cartilage tissue, and as such, they’re often considered to help in joint cartilage repair which can help with arthritis. Doctors will often prescribe patients with osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis chondroitin and glucosamine supplements, even though there is a lack of clinical evidence that these supplements truly work. In other words, customer reviews on joint pain beverages are divided with some praising the drinks and others finding that the drinks are a waste of money. What we can conclude from both customer reviews and clinical trials for joint pain supplements is that they work for some and not for others obviously showing that joint pain is a complex problem and that the one-size-fits-all approach to treating joint pain simply won’t work.

When paired with a balanced diet, stress reduction, and regular exercising, these homemade and natural drinks may provide substantial joint pain relief. However, the Arthritis Foundation also lists plain water as the number one beverages arthritis sufferers should consume in adequate amounts as dehydration is known to worsen joint pain.

Although you’ll see beverages for joint pain promising to provide greater joint pain relief than any other supplement out there, this is more likely to be a marketing hype than something based on scientific evidence. Research is working hard on finding safe and effective remedies for arthritis pain, but, unfortunately, most of today’s remedies only provide moderate pain relief. The same goes true for OTC supplements. What we do know is that arthritis sufferers should rely on natural ways to mitigate joint pain such as eating a balanced diet, keeping their weight at healthy levels, exercising regularly, and drinking natural beverages that can reduce inflammation through their antioxidant action.
