How Does NativePath Collagen Work?

Collagen in the most abundant protein in the body, and it exists largely in the skin and connective tissue. As collagen depletes with age, an additional amount in the skin could firm and improve elasticity, smoothing wrinkles and lines.

A study published in the Journal of Medical Nutrition and Nutraceuticals found that a nutritional supplement which included collagen, hyaluronic acid, and nutrients significantly improved wrinkle depth [1].

In addition, it can strengthen the nails, hair, and follicles. Collagen may repair damage to the bones and cartilage, which can help ease joint symptoms. A study in Nutrients concluded that collagen peptides improved bone mineral density in postmenopausal women [2].

It contains anti-inflammatory agents which can reduce swelling in the body, including the skin and gut. This protein can promote better digestion by maintaining the integrity of the gut lining. It also supports arterial health.

Collagen contains antioxidants, which kill free radicals and decrease oxidative stress. This promotes healing in the body and strengthens the immune system.

What Are the Ingredients in NativePath Collagen?

These are the primary active NativePath Collagen ingredients:

Hydrolyzed Bovine Collagen Type I – This abundant protein is found in the connective tissue, skin, blood vessels, gut, muscle tissue, and elsewhere.

It can strengthen the bones and repair the cartilage, provide anti-aging benefits to the skin, and promote gut integrity. An article in Polymer discussed current insight into Type I collagen [3].

Hydrolyzed Bovine Collagen Type III – This protein also exists in the body, although not quite as abundantly as type I. It’s in the skin, blood vessels, and muscles. Combined with type I it provides skin and digestive health benefits.

An article in Gene explored Type III collagen in terms of gene and protein structure, tissue distribution, and associated diseases [4].

    STILL USING FROM OLDER-STYLE CONTAINER
I will pay particular attention to a product I will open tomorrow which came in a newly designed container. I am very happy with the results of Native Path, particularly joint health. The product has always dissolved easily in my first-morning cup of coffee, so I am interested to see if the formula in the new packaging is the same, based on what the one-star reviewer said above. I had tried another brand before Native Path which did not dissolve so easily and upset my stomach.
  2. Rev. Diane Dougherty

    New Native Path Collagen
I have been taking Native Path Collagen for years…but the newly designed product is much different. One scoop does not immediately dissolve, is sticky, and has to be whipped to dissolve in liquid. I have NOT had this problem before. Could the formula have been changed?

NativePath Collagen Ques and Ans

  • Q: what chemicals are in collagen peptides that require a prop 65 warning?

A: "In California, there's a rule called Proposition 65 (Prop 65) that says companies have to give warnings if their products have chemicals that could lead to cancer, birth defects, or other problems with having babies. If a collagen peptide product has these chemicals, the warning is probably because of them, not just the collagen peptides. To know for sure, you should look at the product's label or ask the company directly. This will help you get the latest and most accurate info about any Prop 65 warnings."

  • Q: Will taking your Collagen every day give you gout since it is from and animal/cow?

A: Gout is a type of arthritis caused by a buildup of uric acid crystals in the body, and it is not typically associated with the consumption of collagen supplements made from animal or cow sources. However, if you have a history of gout or elevated uric acid levels, it is recommended to speak with a healthcare provider before starting any new supplement regimen, including NativePath Collagen. They can provide guidance on the potential risks and benefits, and help you make an informed decision based on your individual needs and health status.

  • Q: How much sodium is in Collagen?

A: As per the nutritional facts of NativePath Collagen, it contains 50mg of collagen. Universally every 7 grams of collagen contains 14mg of sodium.
