Conspiracy and crime will be the topic for today. With that being said, this article will be a treat* for all of you who are in love with that genre.

The famous Dr. Oz finally got caught up in his words and promises. Or did he?

There have been stories, circulating around depths of the internet, about Dr. Oz, a world known cardiothoracic surgeon, getting a lawsuit for his “miracle-working” products. Turns out, later that month, he did.

How It Went Down?

Some of you may have heard about this, some of you maybe didn’t – Dr. Oz has his own TV show, called, well, The Dr. Oz Show. It’s kind of funny when you put it like this, isn’t it?

Well, on this show, in case you haven’t watched a single episode, he has been talking about his products, his life’s work, how his products are all scientifically backed up, you know, the usual.

Basically, if you remove* the background of the show that Dr. Oz has put, and look even further, you will see the true meaning of it – Money.

So yes, Dr. Oz has been selling his products on his show, claiming their worth and giving promises. Those promises have that aroma of a scam-like, money-taking product.

Let’s face it, when you hear someone claiming that his product works like a charm and that it doesn’t require exercise or any special diets with it in order for you to cut down your weight, you would be suspicious a bit, wouldn’t you?

That’s exactly what got Dr. Oz in trouble.

As we can see from the article TMZ[1] has posted, Dr. Oz is getting sued for the things he has said on live television. Why? Well, there are people who are easy to be manipulated because they don’t believe in themselves enough.

That’s why. In order to protect those kind of people, products that can potentially harm your health must be exposed.

Doctor Oz did provide some good health information in his show, but he always pushed his products to the surface. Now, it looks like his words caught up to him, indeed.

Here are the 5 things you need to know about this lawsuit.

Well-Known Facts Regarding The Case Of Dr. Oz And His Garcinia Products

Dr. Oz And His Garcinia Products

1. The controversial “Five Biggest Fat Busters” Episode

In this episode, called “Five Biggest Fat Busters for Five Body Types in Just 5 Days”, Dr. Oz has made many powerful claims. First of all, from the title you can sense the scam-like feeling we have talked about earlier.

Well, later in this episode, Dr. Oz promoted a new product, made by a company called Labrada. This supplement’s key ingredient is Garcinia cambogia.
So, while he was talking about this product, among the things that are revolutionary about it, he also claimed that it – could be the magic* ingredient that lets you lose* weight without diet or exercise. Oops, I guess?

2. Who Sued Dr. Oz

The lawsuit didn’t just fall from the sky because of the things he said. The person responsible for this is Dr. Oz’s viewer. He was taking Dr. Oz’s products and suffered some serious damages.

Therefore, he decided to file the lawsuit against Dr. Oz on behalf of the people who are buying those products.

3. The Things Mr. Oz Has Said

Dr. Oz claims that his products are tested and approved, scientifically. Well, in the year of 2014, he had to attend the Senate panel.

While he was being questioned, he kept going back to this scientific study that actually supports his Garcinia products.

Well, the Senate panel easily dismissed Mr. Oz’s research, leaving his products all alone in the dark. The only thing that goes in their favor now is Dr. Oz’s word, and I don’t know if people should be buying health related products based on someone’s word.

4. The Lawsuit Claims That Dr. Oz’s Products Have No Evidence That They Work

Just like it says, in the lawsuit it has been claimed that Garcinia based products aren’t proven scientifically. Judging from the previous point we talked about, this can be easily believed.

5. This Lawsuit Isn’t Going After Dr. Oz Alone

The lawsuit we are talking about is targeting everyone who are involved in the creation of Garcinia based products. Companies like Labrada, Harpo Production and others. What this lawsuit wants from them, is to return the money and also pay for the damages.
