As an exfoliator and skin-brightener, it supports the removal of old, dull, dead skin cells to leave the skin glowing and refreshed. Skin tone is said to be more even and areas of discoloration due to age spots, acne scars and blemishes are lightened.

The overall effect is skin that appears youthful and revitalized. Unlike some exfoliators that use Alpha-hydroxy fruit acids, Glowpeel is said to be safe for all skin types and unlikely to cause any redness or irritation.

What are the Active Ingredients in Glowpeel?

All the ingredients used in Glowpeel have been selected for their safety and effectiveness, undergoing extensive testing by the Solvaderm team of scientists and dermatologists. Among the key active ingredients listed on the Solvaderm website are:

  • Glycolic Acid – An alpha-hydroxy acid, this compound has superior exfoliating properties. By removing dead cells from the surface of the skin, it leaves the individual with a brighter complexion and promotes cellular turnover
  • Pyruvic Acid – Supports a better skin tone and is particularly beneficial in reducing the appearance of discoloration in the skin due to sun damage, scars and blemishes
  • Lactic Acid – This plant-based acid supports the body’s synthesis of collagen, a vital component of firm, healthy skin. It also helps to keep the skin soft and supple as it ages.
  • Kojic Acid – Added to the formula for its skin-lightening properties, Kojic Acid is said to reduce the production of melanin, the substance responsible for pigmentation in the skin. By doing so, age-spots and other discoloration caused by UV damage are prevented from forming, leaving the skin clearer and more evenly toned

How To Use Glowpeel?

Unlike most Solvaderm products, Glowpeel is only to be used 3-5 times a week. It should be applied in a thin layer to the facial skin after cleansing, and left for 1-3 minutes before rinsing off. Because it does contain fruit acids, the manufacturer recommends that the user determines their tolerance to the product and adjusts the treatment time accordingly.

Glowpeel is available through the Solvaderm official website which is informative and educational. The company is committed to the creation of high-quality formulas that are designed to work together as a complete skincare regime.

Should I Purchase it?

Some people avoid acid peels as they have had a reputation for causing irritation, redness and other unwanted effects. However, Glowpeel has been specifically designed to work gently, but effectively, on the skin, reducing the risk of pain or damage while still providing superior results.

It is still recommended that anyone with very sensitive skin does an allergy patch test before using the product and that exposure to the sun is avoided directly after using the product.

Glowpeel would definitely be a good addition to any anti-aging skin care routine where age-spots and other areas of hyperpigmentation are present.

  1. The Glowpeel Formula works
As I was hitting middle age, my skin began to take on these ugly discolorations. They were very subtle, but I could definitely notice them when I looked in the mirror. What initially drew me to Glowpeel was the formula. The ingredients included something called Kojic acid which apparently is very effective for inhibiting melanin, the most likely cause for skin discoloration. I was pretty surprised that there was a product out there that purported to do the exact thing that I needed so I ordered my first bottle of Glowpeel right then and there.

I alternate Glowpeel with my regular facial wash and it has really worked for me. Those nasty discolorations have completely vanished and I also like the way it cleans my skin. I almost didn’t even notice the fact that Glowpeel was an exfoliator when I bought it but hey, just an added bonus as far as I’m concerned.

I did a lot of research on the other ingredients that are in Glowpeel and they seem to be helping my skin too. Overall, my skin tone seems much more even. The formula is natural too and it hasn’t caused any harm to my skin, even though it’s sensitive. It’s a great product and worked so well for me.

  2. This is a gentle exfoliant
I had been using the same exfoliant for over a decade until I started noticing some skin irritation and white patches. I went to my dermatologist and she said that it was most likely the exfoliant I was using. I explained to her that I had been using the same exfoliant for years and that it never did anything like this to my skin before – she told me that now I was getting older, my skin needed something different to help with the hyperpigmentation. I saw an ad for a company called Solvaderm and visited their website. They had a lot of options but I was specifically interested in their Glowpeel exfoliant. Their website was actually really helpful. They had reviews from customers and even had an animated chart detailing where the serum was most effective on the face and how to get the most out of using Glowpeel. ‘

Glowpeel is now the exfoliant I use on a daily basis. It clears away all the dead skin and excess oil on my face without being too harsh on my skin. With the help of some prescription moisturizing cream and Glowpeel my white patches have all gone away. I love the way this stuff works because it doesn’t feel like my old exfoliating cream which was really coarse. Glowpeel uses natural ingredients to exfoliate and it goes on smoothly so there is no irritation.
