Study Reveals Oral Sex Helps To Fight Depression In Women

Oral Sex Helps To Fight Depression In Women

A recent study is making men and women happy with its tentative results. The State University of New York recently conducted a survey with 293 women participating. The survey simply compared the women’s sex lives with their mental health. What the survey showed was that women who participated in oral sex were happier.

Oral Sex Reduces Depression among Women

The survey included 293 women, and compared their sexual lives with their mental happiness. Researchers concluded that women who participated in oral sex were actually happier than their counterparts.

The research showed that male semen actually contains chemicals that not only help to improve moods, but they can also help to improve sleep patterns and increase feelings of affection. Semen contains several beneficial chemicals along with spermatozoa including,

  • Cortisol which can help to increase feelings of affection
  • Estrone and oxytocin which both work as mood enhancers
  • Thyrotropin which can help reduce feelings of depression, along with serotonin
  • Melatonin is also released which can help promote healthy sleep problems

The study also found that women who do not participate in oral sex, showed the same signs of depression as women who had abstained from sexual intercourse. The study went on to state, that it was not just the physical intimacy of the sexual act, but also the amount of semen in their bodies that caused sexually active women to be happier.

The Benefits of Oral Sex

Benefits of Oral Sex

There are many benefits of oral sex, including helping to promote feelings of intimacy between couples. While this closeness is important to a relationship, there are other benefits associated with oral sex as well.

1. Help to Relieve Depression and Stress

There are certain chemicals in semen that can help to reduce the signs of depression in women. These chemicals not only work as mood elevators, they can also help to reduce stress and anxiety. The feeling of emotional closeness and the release from an orgasm can also work to relieve the feelings of anxiety and stress that can be a part of everyday life.

2. Works to Relieve Pain

Semen also contains small amounts of the chemical, oxytocin. This pain relieving chemical is present right before an orgasm and directly afterwards. Women who engage in oral sex can receive small amounts of the chemical which can help to relieve minor body aches and pains. Women also release this natural pain reliever during their orgasms as well.

3. Improve Female Cardio Health

Male semen can also improve a woman’s cardiovascular health. The same chemicals that help improve a woman’s mood and reduce stress can also lower blood pressure. Lower levels of stress in the body can help to reduce the risk of heart attack or strokes. The study also showed that women who engage in oral sex are less likely to develop preeclampsia during their pregnancy.

4. Preventing Prostrate Cancer

Studies are also showing that men who ejaculate more often are at a lower risk of developing prostate cancer, making oral sex beneficial to both partners.

5. Help Wounds Heal Faster

Studies are still being conducted, but early research is showing that the natural pain reliever oxycotin may also be able to help some cuts and injuries heal faster, by improving cell growth.

6. Helps to Fight Some Signs of Aging

While oral sex will not help to fight wrinkles or other signs of aging, it can help to improve a couple’s health and cause them to feel younger. Many women are realizing that part of looking younger is feeling happy and healthy. Depression does not only affect a woman’s mood, it can affect her entire life.

Engaging in oral sex can not only bring sexual satisfaction in women, it can also help women to look and feel younger and happier.

Oral sex may not be the miracle cure for depression, but early research is starting to show that it can be beneficial. Not only does male semen contain many chemicals that are beneficial to both men and women, this simple act of intimacy can bring a feeling of closeness that some couples might have been missing.

While this survey is not claiming that oral sex will cure all signs of depression in women, it is being to show that semen and oral sex can help. Before trying to treat any signs of depression, it is always advisable to speak with a health care provider first.
