Soap & Glory The Firminator Reviews

Soap & Glory The Firminator Overview

Soap & Glory is a much-beloved cosmetic company with a wide assortment of skincare products.

Millions of beauty addicts in the world swear by them. With that type of pedigree, The Firminator should be a winner all around.

The gel exfoliates the skin, makes it feel tight and has a peppermint fragrance that users really enjoy.

Unfortunately for those who would like to try it from outside the UK or the USA, this is as yet a difficult task because the product can be purchased in only a few selected stores in these two countries and ordered online through the same.

Key Ingredients of The Firminator

Soap & Glory The Firminator

The Firminator boasts a “killer combination of actives” that appears to be just a long list of rather standard cosmetic ingredients that include:

Alcohol, Butylene glycol, Cetearyl glucoside, Cyclohexasiloxane, Sodium polyacrylate, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum (Fragrance), Sodium stearoyl lactylate, Sodium ascorbyl phosphate, Methylparaben, Limonene, Menthyl lactate, Ethylparaben, Dipropylene glycol.

Tocopheryl acetate, Propylene glycol, Tetrasodium EDTA, Glyceryl acrylate/acrylic acid copolymer, Hesperidin methyl chalcone, Dimethicone, Steareth-20, Chlorhexidine digluconate, Potassium sorbate, Dipeptide-2, Palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7, CI 19140 (Yellow 5), CI 42090 (Blue 1)

While certainly better sounding than the foregoing, it is unknown whether the following are key or not and, if they are, it is not explained on the product website what makes them effective if, indeed, they are: Panax ginseng root extract, Morus Alba leaf extract, Silica, Citral.

It should be noted that the formula omits caffeine as an essential ingredient. Caffeine is considered paramount by experts if a product is to have any effect whatsoever on reducing the appearance of cellulite.

How to use The Firminator?

  • Shower
  • Stand firm
  • Massage a small handful from your knees up to the inner thighs and buttocks

Pros of The Firminator

  • Mint fragrance
  • Comparitive inexpensive
  • Good exfoliating action

Cons of The Firminator

  • It takes nearly two months to achieve any perceptible results
  • Appears to be only minimally effective for cellulite

Does The Firminator Work?

Most consumers appeared to be very unimpressed with the majority of reviews for this product from an anti-cellulite standpoint.

There were those who found it to perform even better than they had imagined (admittedly, many of these were big defenders of the Soap & Glory brand and loved their other products as well) while several more said that it did absolutely nothing.

In any case, it appears to take nearly two months of consistent use to get optimum results.

Is it Safe to Use?

Soap & Glory states on their website that their products are generally safe for use even for pregnant women. The keyword here would be “generally”.
In terms of The Firminator being hypoallergenic, no such claims are made.

Wrap Up

Soap & Glory is a fun, hipster company that tries to make environmentally kind products and is available in only a few of the most reputable chain drugstores.

When evaluating the Firminator, the consumer reviews, however, are the decisive factor. At best, these reviews were mixed.

Some felt strongly that this product is inexpensive and great enough to just have around for keeping your skin smooth, while others were greatly disappointed because they had purchased it for one specific objective: to keep their cellulite in check.

Obviously, this latter group would be the one to pay the most attention to if you suffer desperately from cellulite and want a solution as quickly as possible.

Cellulite refers to fat deposits under the surface of the skin giving it a dimpled, irregular appearance. The vast majority of women have cellulite, some estimates are as high as 90 percent. Cellulite is routinely found in the thighs, hips, buttocks, and stomach. Unfortunately, maintaining an optimal body weight, eating healthy, staying active, and even regular exercise may not be enough to combat cellulite.

Below you’ll find some of the most effective cellulite cream formulations on the market today, in our opinion.
