Pros

  • Contains one of the purest protein forms available on the market, with a concentration of up to 97% protein.
  • The formula also contains three amino acid chains. Studies have provided evidence that supplementation of these amino acids can help to reduce protein breakdown during exercise, as well as help increase NH3 production.
  • Each container offers 90 servings, which is an adequate supply for one entire month. At $60.19 per such a container, the product is relatively affordable.
  • There are no added fats, lactose or sugar found in this formula – which is an attractive feature for many athletes and body builders.

Cons

  • Even though the product promotes itself as a zero sugar and zero fat product, the nutritional facts still list a very small amount of sugars and saturated fats. These may be due to the flavoring of the formulas.
  • The product contains various foods that are known to cause allergic reactions in some people – such as milk, soy, peanuts, sesame seeds, mustard seeds and eggs.
  • The storage instructions of the product are very specific and strict, which may be unpleasant or unachievable to some users.
  • Instead of offering answers to user questions, the company advises individuals to consult with their physician if they have any questions regarding the formula.

How Does This Product Work?

This whey protein powder formula contains a very unique blend of ingredients that are also perfect for building lean muscle, losing excess fat stored throughout the body and more.

According to the manufacturer of Iso Whey Zero, they have used the purest type of whey protein isolate that features cross-flow micro-filter technology.

This is one of the highest quality forms of protein that gets absorbed easily by the body and starts to work very quickly.

The combination of whey protein and amino acids helps to relax blood vessels, then carries oxygen, protein and other nutrients that are essential for muscles to grow – directly to muscles throughout the body.

It is reported that this type of protein, known as whey protein isolate, contains the purest amount of protein per gram (more than 90% protein content) and does not contain any lactose or fats due to the fact that it has been pre-processed.

Iso Whey Zero Ingredients – Are they Safe & Effective?

Iso Whey Zero contains a special blended form of protein known as cross-flow ultra- and micro-filtered whey protein isolate.

The pureness of the protein depends on the specific flavor a user chooses as it varies based on the flavor of the formula.

The lowest concentration is found in the chocolate flavored formula, which is 92.5%. The highest concentration is found in the vanilla flavored formula, which is 97%.

Apart from the protein content, it also contains:

EAAs (Essential Amino Acids)

– These amino acids include valine, histidine, methionine, threonine, isoleucine, lysine, leucine, phenylalanine and tryptophan. Each 25 gram serving of the formula contains a 10.4 grams EAAs count. According to Frontier in Physiology Journal explains that EAAs can increase exercise performance through various mechanisms, such as by improving secretion of anabolic hormones, modifying fuel use during exercise, preventing mental fatigue or stimulating muscle.[1]

CAAs (Conditionally Essential Amino Acids)

– These amino acids include arginine, proline, glutamic acid, tyrosine, cysteine and glutamine. Each 25 gram serving of the formula contains a 6.4 grams CAAs count.[2]

NAAs (Nonessential Amino Acids)

– These amino acids include alanine, glycine, aspartic acid and serine. Each 25 gram serving of the formula contains a 4.6 grams NAAs count.[3]
A study by the University of Vermont in the United States measured the effect of a branched-chain amino acid supplementation among humans.

They found that the amino acid supplementation did not have any effects on protein synthesis in muscles, but it did significantly reduce protein breakdown within muscles.

They explain that this is an anabolic effect and may result in better muscle growth.

Another study by the University of Guelph in Canada provided evidence that a branched-chain amino acid oral supplement can help to increase NH3 production in muscles during exercises, as well as assist with suppressing protein breakdown during an exercise routine.

    Not That Much Effective.
Like others, this upsets my stomach. I’m not sure how lactose free this is. Probably similar to how some countries can mark beers as gluten free even though they have malt barley in them and other countries will not classify them as gluten free because of that.

People also need to consider that lactose isn’t the only thing in whey that could upset your stomach. It is a fairly concentrated substance and could have an effect because of that. Plus the sweetener in the shake (sucralose) can easily cause diarrhoea, bloating and gas. Often these free from products leave people off worse because of the side effects of some of the substituted ingredients. Zero doesn’t mean zero.
