Dr. Elmari Mulder Craig

Dr. Craig has been in private practice for the past 20 years where she combines her years of experience in the fields of psychotherapy, couples therapy, hypnotherapy and sexology.

She is the president of The Southern African Sexual Health Association, is a well-known clinical psycho-sexologist, psychotherapist, clinical hypnotherapist, couples therapist, public speaker and published author. She is considered a specialist in the field of relationship and marital therapy and sexology.

Elmari is one of only a handful of South African practitioners who passed the European Federation of Sexology and the European Society for Sexual Medicine’s psycho-sexology exam. She is now an EFS/ESSM: European Certified Psycho-Sexologist (ECPS).

Elmari received a PhD in sexology (Europe) a Master’s Degree (SA) and studied under the renowned Prof Domeena Renshaw at the Loyola University Stricht School of Medicine: Sexual Dysfunction Clinic in Chicago, USA.

She is registered as a Clinical Hypnotherapist with The Wellness Institute in Washington, USA and is also registered with The Traumatic Incident Reduction Association (TIRA) in Michigan, USA and as a Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) Facilitator (USA).

She regularly appears on television and radio programs and often contributes to several well-known magazines and the daily press. She has also collaborated on 16 books and is the author of: 'Die A-Z van Seks' and' Die sekssprokie: Misterie Ontrafel'.

Elmari is a sought after speaker and travels countrywide to address professionals in the field, women groups, churches, private functions and corporate organisations alike.

She is married to the love of her life Gavin and is the mother of Michael and Catherine.
