What is NightThyme?

As the name suggests, Night Serum is an anti-aging product designed to be applied before bed and can reduce lines and wrinkles, moisturize and decrease the appearance of age spots. The Serum was created by an award-winning cosmetic surgeon Dr. Arthur Perry, who is profiled on the official Night Serum website.

The site itself is very simple in design and user-friendly. Sections are clearly labeled, and the ordering process is well-explained, complete with terms and conditions.

How Does NightThyme Work

The NightThyme formula contains a number of important anti-aging ingredients which are listed on the website and compared in a chart to those contained in other similar skin Serum. The actual amounts of the ingredients are not known and they are likely to be contained in a proprietary blend.

The key age-fighting ingredients in NightThyme are Retinyl Propionate, a form of Vitamin A, Glycolic Acid, to exfoliate, Ascorbic Acid, an anti-oxidant and Licorice extract which contains the skin brightener Glabridin. Retinyl Propionate and Ascorbic Acid are both light sensitive so work best at night.

It is not known exactly how long it should take for the consumer to see results, although the skin should feel significantly softer and hydrated after the first few applications.

Ingrediants In NightThyme

Vitamin C

Hyperpigmented spots of your skin, also known as hyperpigmentation, may become lighter with the use of vitamin C-based skin care products. In one study [1] , spots were dramatically reduced after 16 weeks of vitamin C application to the skin.

Vitamin C’s antioxidants may aid in protecting against the potential harm that UV rays can do. This does not imply that a vitamin C skin serum may take the place of sunscreen. Since it doesn’t block UVA or UVB rays, it can’t be used in place of SPF. However, if UV rays does penetrate your skin, some study indicates that vitamin C may be able to lessen the damage.

Alpha-Hydroxy Acids

Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) [2] are a class of acids that are found in milk, sugar cane, and various fruits in nature. They are used as exfoliants in skin care to eliminate dead skin cells and treat particular problems.

Vitamin A

Although not everyone is aware of vitamin A’s advantages, it can aid with a variety of skin issues. The body needs to make new cells since doing so speeds up skin regeneration and encourages healthy functioning in general.

Licorice Extract

Licorice root extract helps to hydrate and calm inflamed, scratchy skin. [3] It can be used into formulas designed specifically to cure dark spots. With consistent usage, licorice-infused skin-brightening serums and sheet masks can give you more radiant, luminous skin over time.

Antioxidants

Antioxidants aid in skin healing. The skin’s natural renewal process is hampered by inflammation. Antioxidants help skin to heal and repair visible damage by lowering inflammation. Some antioxidants, such as vitamin C, can also promote the creation of collagen, which is essential for having youthful skin.

Glycerin and Hyaluronic acid

According to studies, glycerin is the best humectant for boosting skin barrier moisture. Although it doesn’t reach the dermis, it helps to hydrate the stratum corneum, which is the epidermis’ top layer.

It’s important to keep in mind that too much glycerin might make the skin feel tacky or sticky. Glycerin is frequently used with other moisturising substances that are lightweight, like as dimethicone, to lessen this impact.

Thyme

Thyme oil benefits from having antibacterial and antifungal qualities. Skin conditions are given a clean surface to inhibit surface bacteria by thyme essential oil. Thyme Essential Oil has therapeutic and circulatory benefits in addition to fortifying the skin. Relief from itching and tightness is possible for dry skin.

NightThyme Review – Final Verdict

NightThyme is a Serum that contains good anti-aging ingredients and eliminates the need for multiple products to treat specific aging skin conditions. For $49.95 for a one-month supply, it is slightly less expensive compared to similar products although it is not likely that it would really be a ‘facial while you sleep’, a rather exaggerated claim made by the NightThyme company.

As we age the composition, texture and appearance of our skin changes. Signs of skin aging include wrinkles, fine lines, loss of moisture, uneven tone, and dull, tired-looking skin. There are countless anti-wrinkle creams on the market promising to make skin look and feel younger. Many anti-wrinkle creams promise everything short of a facelift or to provide the much sought after "fountain of youth". In reality most are just moisturizers marketed as anti-aging products.

Below you'll find some of the most effective wrinkle serum/cream formulations on the market today, in our opinion.

It is Effective but not for me.......
I can’t even detect the smell. The moisture content is ideal. However, I’ve used this product twice already, and each time, my entire face temporarily burns and gets red. The first time I bought it, I assumed it was because my face was dry, but when it happened again, I knew it was a defect in the product. Although I like what it does, I won’t buy it again.
