Extraderm – Will Extraderm Lighten and Brighten Your Complexion?

Q: I am 50 years old and have several age spots, excessive dryness, and wrinkles on my facial area. I use several products to treat these conditions but I would like to find a product that can be used to treat all these signs of aging. My twin sister is using a product called Extraderm and her skin looks great. She recommended I give it a try but I would like to know more about it.

Extraderm

Extraderm is a brand of products developed for skincare created by the Splash Corporation. The line of products is designed to reduce the signs of aging such as lines and wrinkles, dull and dry skin, and age spots. Extraderm is available in gel, lotion, soap, or cream form.

A full ingredient is not available on the product website but Extraderm contains sunblock and antixodiants to protect the skin. The product claims to be dermatologist tested safe and effective but there is a warning that prolonged exposure to hydroquinone may cause hyper-pigmentation known as ochronosis in areas exposed to sunlight. Hydroquinone is a controversial ingredient with mixed negative reviews due to its toxic effects.

The website states what Extraderm can do but there is no clinical research or customer testimonials to support what the product claims to accomplish. If you are allergic to certain products or have sensitive skin, you should be cautious before purchasing this product.

If you do shop for a skin brightening product in a health store, pharmacy or on the Internet, you’ll often find hundreds of different brands containing a confusing array of ingredients. You may be tempted to experiment with different products until you find one that works. But this approach may be expensive. More importantly, not all products contain the quality and quantity of necessary ingredients to positively promote long-term improvements on the appearance of hyperpigmentation and an overall healthy, even and radiant complexion. That’s why you’ll need to do a little bit of research to find the best, most potent brand for your needs.
